Professor Slughorn bustled around the front of the class. Setting out various potions and tubes on his table, whilst students chatted away. You on the other hand, had nothing to do except watch Professor Slughorn as he prepared for your first potions class of the year.

'Right! We will be starting now. So I need you to quieten down' Professor Slughorn exclaimed. The class began to quieten down and as they did the door burst open. Everyone looked over at Remus stood breathless and red faced. Professor Slughorn quirked his brown and folded his arms at the sight of him.

'Mr Lupin, glad you could join us' Professor Slughorn said. Remus smiled slightly.

'I'm sorry Professor. A group of first years asked me to help them get to class' He explained and Professor Slughorn nodded.

'Very well Remus. If you could take a seat next to...' Professor Slughorn stopped as he looked over to you. From the confused look on his face, you knew that he has no idea who you were 'Sorry, what's your name dear?'

'(Y/N)' You mumbled. Professor Slughorn put his hand to his ear.

'Speak up girl. I can't hear you' He said. You could feel yourself getting flustered and immediately looked down at your lap.

'Her name is (Y/N) (L/N)' Remus said. You looked up to see Remus looking over at you. His lips twitched into a smile as he walked over to the empty seat next to you. As he sat down, his arm brushed against yours and you felt as though you'd just been set on fire.

'Thank you' You mumbled. Remus smiled as he rested his elbows on the desk and looked over at you.

'My pleasure' He said, opening his textbook. Your eyes couldn't help but gaze at him. Lily had said he was intelligent and he certainly seemed it.

'Now class, I want you to remember where you are sitting today as this will be your seat for the rest of the year' Professor Slughorn announced. A mix of groans and cheers filled the room. Your eyes locked with Remus and you smiled at each other. Positions class might just be your favourite class this year.

Remus POV

I sat down at an empty desk in the library. A stack of books were piled in front of me and I took one at random to browse through. A textbook about beasts, I laughed to myself and put it back on top of the pile.

'Remus!' I looked around to see Sirius walking towards me. He never quite understood that you had to be quiet in the library.

'Would you keep it down? We're going to get asked to leave again' I said. Sirius laughed and sat on the desk.

'Oh come on Moony, you need to stop spending your time in here anyway' He said. I rolled my eyes and got up. Sirius quickly followed me as I walked out of the library.

'Moony! What is the matter with you?' Sirius asked.

'Nothing. I'm fine' I snapped. Sirius grabbed my arm and I stumbled back as he stopped me from walking any
further.

'My friend, I can see something is bothering you' He said. I loved Sirius dearly, but there was no way I was prepared to tell him about (Y/N). I would never hear the end of it 'Fine Moony. If you're not going to tell me. I'll find out myself' He said. I smirked and patted Sirius on the back.

'Good luck with that' I said. Sirius growled and I knew that was his attempt to try and scare me into telling him.

'What class have you got next?' Sirius asked as we walked down the corridor.

'Defence against the dark arts' I replied. Sirius groaned and stomped his foot on the floor.

'I don't have any classes with any of you lot yet' Sirius said. I sniggered and Sirius punched my arm.

'Maybe it is a wise thing you don't. You may learn something this year' I said. Sirius gave me a look to suggest otherwise.

I reached the end of the corridor and looked over to the Defence against the dark arts classroom. The door was open and I could see (Y/N) sat at one of the front desks. A fuzzy feeling bubbled in the pit of my stomach.

'MOONY!' Sirius shouted. I snapped out of my daydream and looked over to him. He had his head cocked to one side and was looking at me as if I was absolutely mad.

'What were you thinking about?' He asked. I shrugged and walked towards the classroom.
