Remus's POV

My heart beat accelerated with every heavy step I took. My breathing was ragged as I reached the lake and sat down in the grass. As I looked at the lake, I closed my eyes and took a moment to appreciate the quietness and the fact that I was alone.

I'd never felt as angry as I did back in the library. My body was still trembling from the complete rush of blood I got when I looked at Lily. Then, I thought of (Y/N) and how I felt when she left. The overwhelming anger I'd felt was for her. I took a deep breath and buried my head in my hands.

'Hey' I gasped and quickly looked up to see Lily slowly approaching me. I smiled slightly and she took that as a sign for her to sit down. She took a deep breath and sat down beside me on the grass. I didn't look in her direction but I knew she was looking at me.

'I just want to be on my own.' I mumbled, dropping my gaze to the floor. Lily sighed, but I could sense that she hadn't moved.

'Remus. I'm sorry.' Lily said. I couldn't help but shake my head at her words. I found myself in a complete state of disbelief and shock. She was meant to be my friend, they all were and they were trying to stop me from seeing someone I liked. I really liked.

'You don't mean it.' I said.

'That's not true!' She exclaimed. I looked up at her and she looked as though she was on the verge of tears.

'Maybe we shouldn't be having this conversation right now.' I said. Lily took a deep breath and wiped her eyes with the back of her hands.

'What's the matter?' She said. I laughed and shook my head at her.

'I'm not going to spell it out for you.' I said in annoyance, looking back out at the lake again.

'How long have you been seeing her?' She asked. I shrugged slightly and pulled a strand of grass from beneath me.

'It's nothing like that. I like spending time with her.' I said, looking over at Lily 'Really like spending time with her.'

'Remus, your...' She trailed off and smiled slightly at me.

'I know.' I snapped picking up a rock from beside me and launching it into the lake 'My condition.'

I cupped my hands over my face and took a deep breath. Anger beginning to course through my body again as I thought about what I was.

'You've got us Remus.' She said nervously. I shook my head, it wasn't enough.

'It's not enough. It's not enough now I've met (Y/N).' I said. There was a long pause and I slowly looked up at her.

'You really like her?' She asked. I nodded and felt my body relax slightly.

'I can't stop thinking about her Lily.' I explained. Her face lit up and she shoved me playfully.
