All I See [Remus Lupin X Reader]

Eighteen.

Your POV

Days had turned into weeks, and you were well into the first term of Hogwarts. Your classes were going well and most importantly, you were getting along perfectly with Remus. You'd managed to spend more time with each other, but his friends were still somewhat of an issue. They didn't actively stop you from seeing him, but you knew they were trying to discourage it.

'Are you seeing Remus today?' Lily chirped as she jumped onto the edge of your bed. You smiled bashfully and shrugged. It was Sunday and you and Remus usually spent the afternoon together somewhere.

'I guess so. We usually do anyway.' You said as you got out of bed. Lily stood up and slowly walked behind you.

'Urm, (Y/N)' Lily smiled 'Do you think James and I would be able to come too?'

You tried to hide the disappointment in your face, but from the expression on Lily's face, you knew that you hadn't.

'I suppose so. We're probably just going to the library though.' You said. Lily half smiled and nodded.

'Oh okay.' Lily said. You smiled and quickly walked off down the stairs to the common room. You could hear Lily walking after you but daren't look back. When you got to the bottom of the stairs, you saw Remus sat in the corner with a book. Your heart bounced against your chest and you immediately made your way over to him.

Remus POV

'Hey' I looked up from my book and smiled as (Y/N) was stood in front of me. Moving my legs from off the chair opposite me, she sat down and I placed my book on the side.

'Did you sleep well?' I asked. She nodded and cocked her head to one side as she looked at me.

'Yes, I did thanks. It looks like you didn't though. Remus, you look tired.' (Y/N) said. She was right, I was tired. In a few days, I would go through the change again and I was terrified. Not of going through the change, but of (Y/N) finding out.

'I'm fine. I've just had trouble sleeping.' I said. She sighed and reached her arm across to me. Her touch felt like a surge of lightening through my body.

'If there's anything bothering you. We can always talk about it.' (Y/N) said.

'He has James and Sirius for that.' Lily said as she appeared behind (Y/N). (Y/N) turned around and looked at Lily, and I could see the upset in her face.

'Thank you Lily. But not now.' I snapped through gritted teeth.

'They need to talk to you Remus.' Lily insisted. I clenched my fists and dropped my gaze to the floor as she stood staring at me.

'Shall I go?' (Y/N) said quietly.

'No!' I snapped. The room fell silent and I could feel everybody's eyes on me.

'Remus. James and Sirius need to talk to you.' Lily said. I could feel my breathing getting heavier as I felt the lingering presence of Lily. I slowly looked up and both Lily and (Y/N) were looking at me with a fearful expressions.

'I will find them later. I just want to spend some time with (Y/N).' I said, smiling over at her. She smiled and reached over for my hand. I squeezed it and quickly felt my breathing settle and my body relax.

Lily stood there for a few moments longer, before she stormed off. I squeezed (Y/N)'s hand again and she squeezed it back in response.

'Can we just got somewhere quiet? Where nobody else is around.' I whispered. (Y/N) smiled and nodded. I instantly shot up from my chair and hand in hand, (Y/N) and I walked out of the common room.

Hey Guys! Happy New Year. Firstly, although I probably start every message like this. I am so sorry for the lack of uploads. It's literally been like 4 months and I can't believe it. I've just been so busy with work, studying and life really! But I'm going to try super hard this year to upload more regularly. Well I'm going to aim for once a month to start and see how that goes.
