Chap 11: Checkers.

I've been calling Cam's phone for the past hour now and it kept going to voicemail. I called the house phone and it was the same thing. I got an alert from the security company that there was a breach with the home security system, they explained that it was hacked and there was no way to override it. They didn't send anyone out to my house because I told them it was my fault and they can send technicians over to replace it on the weekend. I was now speeding down the highway trying to get home as fast as possible to see if everyone was alright. I tried calling Cindy to tell her to go check on them but walk with a gun but she wasn't answering her phone either. My phone started ringing and I quickly answered it without looking at the caller I.D.

"Tye?" I heard Mona on the other line.

"Mona, what the fuck? I can't get through to Cam, Pedro nor Cindy. What's happening?" I asked her sounding panicked.

"I just saw your missed calls, the last time I spoke to Cindy she was planning on going over to your house for lunch with Cam, Jay and Pedro." She said.

"Meet me at the house, notify Joseph and bring him too. I'll call Banks." I said.

"Alright, see you there." She said disconnecting the call.

I put my phone back in the seat and continued focusing on the road. This is exactly why I didn't want to bring Cam into this. I don't know if she's in danger and Pedro's leg isn't fully healed enough for him to walk without a limp. He can't protect her on his own. I should've done more from I received that call at the sleepover, I had let it slide. Jay is the one they wanted but I wasn't planning on giving her up just like that. I planned on using her as bait but if they have her then she's no use to me now. Shit, I have to know if they're safe. I forgot that I had to call Bank so I stretched back over for my phone and dialed his number.

"Mija! What's up?" He answered the phone.

"Papa, I think we're in danger." I said.

"What do you mean? Should I send some men to your house?" He asked.

"No, Mona and Joseph are gonna meet me there."

"Okay, so what's happening?"

I told him everything from the phone call to Shane's organ trafficking business in the Caribbean and Jay's best friend and the young girl that I didn't kill.

"So here's what's going to happen, allow them to take Cam and Jay. We'll follow them from there." He said.

"Papa, I can't allow them to take the love of my life," I started crying.

"Listen Red, they might've already taken them. Shane wouldn't go to the house alone and she surely didn't plan to stay for the welcome party. So let them go, I know you have different trackers on Cam and I know Mona has the same for Cindy. I have eyes and ears everywhere. We need to eradicate that girl before she becomes more of a threat. They won't harm them, they'll just use them for bait. Bait that were going to pretend to fall for." He said.

"Okay Papa, I'll let you know what happens when I reach home. I'm turning into the neighborhood now." I said.

"Bien mija," he said and disconnected the call.

I slowed down once I got to my street, I saw Cam's car parked beside the sidewalk instead of her usual spot on the driveway. I parked behind her and took my gun from the glove compartment and made sure that it was fully loaded. My neighbors are nosey as fuck so I'm surprised no one saw when my house was getting broken into. I got out of my Jeep, I slid out of my dress jacket and left it on the seat. I put my phone into my pocket and clipped the gun holster onto my pants waist, I didn't care about them seeing the gun. I locked the door and walked up the driveway, there wasn't a car here so why didn't Cam park in her usual spot?? I continued up the driveway to the door and tried it, it was unlocked so I pushed it and went in. I took the gun from it's holster on my waist and pointed it to the floor, I shut the door behind me and started calling for Cam or Jay.
