Today is Lani court date and I was nervous.
Mama agreed to come with me but she was still mad at me. She left the girls with Sheena today and even closed the restaurant for today because she didn't trust nobody to run it except her or Sheena.
Long story short, me and Mama are sitting in the court room right now watching them bring Lani out. It broke my heart to see her all cuffed up in the same clothes she had on when she caught me bagging the drugs she took blame for. Her hair was in a ponytail and she had her head down. If I know Lani then I know she feel as though she let her parents down but mostly her dad.
Me and Mama sat quietly as they went back and forth over the case. I hired her a lawyer but the nigga was a punk. He talked all this shit about getting her less time and doing his job right but he was standing up there freezing up and stuttering.
I was so conflicted in my own thoughts that I zoned out the rest of the time. I only popped my head up when they said 6 months and a fine of $500.
"No." Mama said with tears falling and I felt my own tears fall too.
Six months without Lani in my life. It was hard when I lost her for only two weeks but six months.
I looked at Lani and she looked at me. I saw the tears fall but she smiled at me through them. She did a kissy face and I did it also although I probably looked gay as hell. As the officer was pulling her out of the court room she looked at me and mouthed the four words that made me cry even more.
"I love you Zay." She mouthed still smiling as the tears fell down her face.
Damn!

"Ya brother is a B.A.N for letting Lani take the case. My sister is dumb as hell too."
I sat back watching De'Asia get dressed as she talked about the sentence Lani got for Zay drugs. We didn't go but Mama did call us because Zay punk ass started throwing a hissy fit but still ain't say the shit was his. I don't see how he could be so stupid.
"Where you going?" I asked when her outfit was so sloppy looking.
I couldn't explain what she was wearing because I'm a nigga but it was a lazy kind of outfit. She looked like she was going to fight someone or something.
"I'll be right back. I got to clear my head right quick." She said then walked out the room.
A couple minutes later I heard the front door close. I got up and walked into the living room.
I sat in my pajamas watching t.v for about an hour when I decided to get up and get in the shower. When I got out I slipped on all black although De wanted me to wear colors now. I just wasn't that nigga to be bright and seen. I rather be dark and hid.
After I got dressed I grabbed my phone and went to the find my iPhone app. Once it loaded I walked out the house making sure I turned on the security system then got in my truck.
I took the short ride to my destination and got out. I locked my truck then walked into the dance studio that looked empty. The doors were unlocked but no one was atthe front desk. I heard music playing so I walked towards it. I'm a nigga but I know that the song playing was a Beyoncé song. It was an open door on the far left and I peeked my head inside.
De'Asia dancing? Not only that but how much enthusiasm she had dancing. I thought the place was empty but I saw three other girls. I walked deeper into the room but not where I could be seen. I leaned against a wall and watched.
