I find it mighty funny how I been in here a week and you have yet to write me back or even come visit me. You say you love me but I can't tell. I took blame so that you could be free. All I asked of you was to hold me down. I shouldn't even had to ask because any husband would've been up here visiting their wife everyday to make sure they were straight. Shit, any "husband" wouldn't have put their "wife" in a situation like this. What hurts me the most is when I call you and you don't pick up the phone. Like damn. I messed up my perfect record just so that you can abandon me? Thats real inconsiderate of you to leave me all alone. Just know that this will be the last letter you ever receive from me. And when I get out I just might not come home.
Fuck you Zay and everything you about.
Love, Single Ass Lani. ♡
I quickly put the letter inside an envelope and dropped it in the mailbox. I sat down at one of the tables in the library and put my head down.
I was really in my feelings. I couldn't look pretty or do what I wanted. I was on a schedule everyday and only got free time a couple hours a day. Bitches in here kept trying me because I was 'young and ripe' whatever the hell that meant. I couldn't get the love and support I needed from my so called husband and I was just a mess.
"You need to get out this damn library and go outside to the courts. Get some fresh air or something."
I looked up and saw Rayna standing in front of the table with this girl named Kiana. She was Nigerian with curly hair. She was cool and didn't play no games.
"Tomorrow." I said putting my head back down on the table.
"You said dat yestiday." Kiana said nudging me.
Her accent was very heavy. It was hard to understand her some times.
"We got about an hour left so you need to come on." Rayna said pulling me out of the chair.
"I have legs." I said freeing myself from her grasp.
We walked out of the library and made our way to the courts. I admit that the cool breeze felt good but the gates, brick walls and gaurds didn't help much. I still felt trapped and alone although I had my friends with me.
We grabbed a basketball and went off to the far side. We started playing a game of basketball and I got into it.
I was just about to win when I felt someone knock me to the ground. I looked up and saw the bitch that thought she ran shit. I stood up and dusted my prison attire off.
"What do you want Maisel?" I asked calling her by her government although she hated it.
"Its Mai. Call me Maisel again and see what happens." She said jacking me up.
"Maisel, Maisel, Maisel, Maisel." I said tilting my head each time I said it.
She punched me and I hit the ground. I was about to get up and whoop her ass until Kiana knocked her big ass down with a karate kick to the face. Rayna helped me up and we saw a gaurd walking towards us.
"Why you do that Kiana? You were about to get out in a couple weeks." I asked as we just looked at Maisel on the concrete.
"A few more months in here won't hurt." She said shrugging her shoulders.
The gaurd came over and cuffed Kiana. The gaurd took her away and told her she was going to be in the hole for a good couple weeks. Another gaurd came over and got Maisel with the assistance of another gaurd and a few inmates since she was a big bitch.
