~*Kai*~

I sat back on the couch thinking. I only been separated from Layla for about three days but I was in my feelings. I really loved her but she acted like I didn't. I tried multiple times to prove my love to her but she dismissed me or ignored it. One example was on her birthday about two months back.

I fixed my tie and smoothed out my suit jacket as I waited for the limo to pull up. Layla 19th birthday was today and I wanted to go all out. I rented out a lowkey Italian restaurant and had her pampered from the time she woke up until this moment.

I admit that I wouldn't do this for any other girl but Layla meant a lot to me and I would do whatever to show her that I'm the right man for her despite our past. Tonight was the night to prove it.

The all white limo pulled up and I smiled. I cleared my throat and walked up to back door. I heard the locks click and I pulled open the door. Layla looked up at me and smiled.

"I should've known." She said placing her small hand into my hand.

I didn't say anything as I helped her out the limo. Her dress was long so I lifted the back up for her then placed it on the carpet once she was all the way out the limo. I nodded my head at the driver then I looped arms with Layla and we started walking down the carpet.

   "How'd you do it Kai?"

"Don't ask questions Layla; just pose for the pictures." I said stopping in front of the professional photographer I hired.

We did traditional couple poses and even threw in some goofy faces. I tipped the photographer then held the door open that led into the restaurant for Layla. She thanked me as she walked pass and I couldn't help but look at the way she wore the dress well.

"Thank God for giving me a beautiful babymama." I mumbled watching her walk as we walked to the only table lit up in the place.

We sat down and immediately had food placed in front of us. Me and Layla laughed through dinner and talked about YaYa but the things I wanted to talk about she would ignore or direct it towards something else.

"When we getting married?" I asked undoing my tie and sitting back in the chair.

Layla looked away and moved in her chair. She took a sip of water and smiled.

"That is such a beautiful painting. I love the detail and the way the artist infused the different paints together."

"Why you keep changing subjects Layla?"

"Why you keep asking questions I don't want to answer?" She asked looking at me.

   "Whats so wrong with marriage?"

   "Whats the rush?"

   "Why not rush?"

   "But why?"

"Why not?!" I semi yelled sitting forward.

"Shut up Kai." She said sitting back in her chair.

"Why you so afraid to commit?"

   "Why aren't you?"

   "Stop doing that bullshit!"

She was really starting to piss me off. She wanted to ignore and dismiss this but I was serious.

   "Don't do it Kai."
