That night, there were bombings. They lasted the whole night. Everybody was scared, because this time, the bombs were nearby. You could feel the floor shaking, and the dust falling in your head. I continued with my work, as always, but I decided to give a quick look to the book thief. Why am I always doing this? She was asleep in Lucas's shoulder, and Lucas's rested his head in Liesel's head, asleep to. I just watched a moment, and go away.

The next morning, they went back to their houses. Nothing happened in Grande Street. It was a cold morning to be the middle of June. Not the best day to stay out. But it was school day, and they had to go.

At recess time, all the children were playing and talking everywhere in the place. Liesel, Lucas and Andrew were sitting in the ground talking to each other.

"My dad's going to Russia next week" Andrew said, playing with a little rock. Liesel looked up at him.

"And that's good or bad?"

"I don't know" Andrew sighed. Lucas gave him a friendly punch in the back.

"He'll be alright, don't worry" Andrew nodded. Liesel smiled to Lucas.

"But anyways, how are you guys doing?" Andrew asked, with a little smirk.

"Great" Lucas answered. Andrew smiled.

"That's good" Andrew answered.Liesel smiled.

~*Some facts about Andrew Brauer ( and his family )*~

He was the same age of Lucas. He was getting 16 on June 23rd ( very soon ). He had two brothers and one sister:

-Martin Brauer: 17 years old.

-Viktoria Brauer: 15 years old, same age as Liesel. Actually, one of Liesel's best friend.

-Kurt Brauer: 10 years old.

The Brauer family was known well because of the father, Conrad Brauer. He was a great worker, and suddenly, he was ascended to the boss. The man was really nice to everyone, and everyone liked him. His wife, and mother of the four Brauer's, Charlotte Brauer, was known by a lot of people to. She was a very beautiful woman, and usually got the attention on the streets. Martin Brauer was known in almost all Molching because of his place at the Hitler Youth. There are some gossips that he got an admission to the Nazi party. Andrew was known because of his great grades at school, and at the Hitler Youth. Viktoria Brauer. Oh, that girl, she had a lot of things that were noticeable. One of them was her beauty. Like her mother, a lot of boys wanted to know her, or just say 'hi'. She was also very sweet with everyone, and maybe that's why she had a lot of friends. Liesel was one of her best friends, and they usually spent time together. Kurt Brauer was a really trouble-maker kid. In difference of his brothers and sister, he was... Different.

Viktoria arrived and sat next to Liesel.

"Hey there Liz"

"Hi Tori" They smiled to each other. Lucas and Andrew frowned in confusion.

"Tory? Liz? What's that?" Andrew asked.

"Just some nicknames, Andy, you should stop getting worried, ja?" Viktoria smiled. Andrew rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Do not call me Andy" Viktoria laugh.

"Whatever, I better keep going, tschüss!" And she went away. Liesel laughed.

"Why call you Liz if your name is beautiful?" Lucas asked. Liesel laughed.

"Can you please stop with the bloody flirting? I have no girlfriend and I'm jealous" Andrew pouted. Lucas patted his back friendly.

"Dear Andy, you should go and check if Astrid is available" Andrew slapped Lucas in the head, and Lucas's hair moved to a side. Liesel laughed.

"Stop calling me Andy!" And he stood up and went away. Lucas combed his hair to a side, to put it back where it was. Liesel gave him a quick glare and she smiled.

"Oh, my, god" Lucas stated, as they stood in front of the burned Friedrich's mansion. Liesel covered her mouth.

"Oh, my, god" Lucas repeated. "This can't be happening" Liesel rested her head in Lucas's shoulders, and hugged Lucas's chest.

"I'm so sorry" Liesel closed her eyes, and slowly, felt Lucas's arms around her back. Lucas was facing the house, and Liesel's back faced it to. Lucas rested his chin in Liesel's head. Lucas's mother walked to them, with Sophie in arms, and her messy hair falling in her shoulders. She caressed Lucas's back, and watched the house. A lot of people were helping, trying to take out the most they could of the house. Herr Friedrich was discussing with Herr Hermann, and they seemed good friends. Lucas kissed Liesel's head.

"Thank you, for being here" Liesel gave him a sad smile.

"No problem" And they stood there watching the house. Asking why the house burned? Well, quite simple. While Lucas was at school with Liesel, Frau Friedrich, Sarah, was painting, with Sophie playing at her side. Herr Friedrich, Arthur, was at his office, smoking. He left the cigarette in a paper. The paper, obviously, set on fire, and burned the whole office when Arthur decided to go on a walk. Sophie and Sarah went out immediately, and watched their house turn into ashes.
