The new member

Returning from Alex Steiner's shop, Liesel and Lucas stopped at the Amper River.

"Can someone please tell me why do we always come here while I'm eating an apple?" Lucas asks, looking at the apple with curiosity.

"Erm, I don't know" Liesel answers, laughing. "You always eat apples, almost everywhere!" Lucas gave his apple a big bite and smiled.

"Yeah, you're right, I love apples" Liesel rested her head in Lucas shoulder.

~*Quick facts about Lucas Friedrich ( again )*~

He was 15, just like Liesel. He was getting 16 in August 27th. His sister just arrived where Liesel and Lucas were, but she was walking with Lucas's mother.

"Hope you don't mind my mother and my sister are arriving, do you?" Lucas said, with a look that children give their mothers when they shame their children.

"Not at all" Liesel answered, with a beautiful smile. Lucas laughed.

"You are so optimistic! You aren't helping!" Liesel laughed to. Lucas kissed her head.

"I love you, be right back" Liesel smiled and nodded. He walked with his mother. Liesel watched the scene carefully. His mother didn't have the usual smile she wore everyday. Lucas's sister, Sophie Friedrich, who just turned 3 ,wasn't understanding anything. Lucas passed a hand through his smokey and messy hair, and he looked to her mother, with... joy.His mother hold him tight in her arms, even though Lucas was taller. Lucas nodded carefully to his mother, and she walked away, with the little Sophie in arms. Lucas returned with Liesel, showing her a grin. Liesel smiled in answer.

"Good news?" She asked.

"Indeed" Lucas grabbed Liesel's waist carefully, and picked her up. "I'm going to have a new sister or brother!" Liesel rested her hands in Lucas's shoulders.

"Really?" Lucas put her down "That's great!" Liesel and Lucas hugged each other.

"Wait, there's more" Lucas grinned.

"More?" Lucas nodded.

"My dad is very sorry about what he told you, and he wants to know you better, and he invited you tonight to have dinner!" Lucas said with excitement.

"Oh god, that's amazing!" Liesel said.

"You are amazing! Oh Liesel, you have changed my family completely" Liesel smiled.

"I'm glad I did" Lucas kissed her quickly.

"Thank you".

Liesel told her new parents about the dinner in the Friedrich's house. They agreed and Liesel went to her room to change, and she putted on a dark blue dress, and made a simple, but elegant hairstyle. She walked to the Friedrich's house, and knocked the door. Lucas opened the door. He combed ( a little bit ) his hair, and put on a simple suit.

"You look beautiful" Liesel smiled.

"Dankeschön" Lucas invited her in, and she walked. She looked through the house carefully. She saw a lot of paintings hanging in the walls. She recognized a painting she liked. Her home. Himmel Street.

"My mom paints" Lucas explained. Her mom appeared in thet second.

"Liesel! Welcome dear!" Liesel smiled

"Thank you, Frau Friedrich, you do a really beautiful painting"

"Thank you!"

"I specially like the one of Himmel Street, I lived there" Frau Friedrich smiled.

"I loved that place" and she stared at the painting with a smile. "Let's go and have dinner!" Liesel and Lucas nodded. Lucas guided her through the big hallways and they arrived to the even bigger dinning room. The oval table was big, and had plates and candles in it. Sophie was moving a fork, and Herr Friedrich was sitting in the main chair. Frau Friedrich took a seat beside Sophie, and Lucas took a seat on the other side. Liesel sat beside him.

"I'm glad you came Liesel" Herr Friedrich said. Liesel gave him a smile.

"Thank you for inviting me" Lucas touched Liesel's knee and showed her his hand. Liesel smiled and grabbed it under the table.
