Lucas squeezed Liesel's hand strongly, when his father asked the question he feared the most.

" So Liesel tell me, how was life in Himmel Street?" Lucas looked at her.

"What do you mean by how?" She asked, in response.

"How was to live with poor people" Liesel raised her eyebrows.

"Excuse me?" Liesel asked, the most politely way she could. Lucas rubbed his eyes.

"Dad, stop" he muttered.

"Yeah, how was it?" Liesel, almost instantly got serious.

"It is no much difference. I lived happily, I had all I ever wanted" Herr Friedrich looked at her confused.

"So you feel the same here than there?"

"Yes, Herr, I feel the same way I felt in Himmel Street, but the only difference is that people is actually in need, so there was always missing food, always, and there was this case when-" she stopped. She heard what she usually heard back in Himmel Street. The sound of soldiers shouting to the poor jewish people. Awful scenario. But, I don't know why, people liked to watch it. Well, not actually 'like', but they just watched it. Something horrible.

Liesel stood up in the moment, and ran to the door. She opened it and ran street down, where she heard the shouts.

"Liesel!" The boy with the smokey hair following her. She stopped and saw, for the 6th or 5th time, the jewish people passing through the streets.

"Max!" She whispered, and slowly looked for the feathered hair, full of dust.

"Liesel what are you doing?" Lucas asked. Liesel grabbed Lucas's hand, still searching in the crowd of people. She saw the man who had fights with the Führer, and invented the word shakers. She was about to run to him, but the jew talked first. He didn't talk, he moved his lips making the words. 'Don't do it' Liesel answered, with tears filling her eyes. 'I miss you, Max, I need to talk to you again' The crowd was still moving, but they didn't loose sight of the other one. Max smiled. 'Look at you! You are a very beautiful lady now! And you already have a boyfriend! I'm sorry about the bombings, I miss them to' At the moment, I still wonder, how each other could understand. They didn't talk, just moved their lips, and they do not lost sight. Lucas, apparently, noticed they were talking. The jew turned his sight to the smokey hair boy and said 'Take care of her' Lucas nodded to him. Liesel was crying already. She gave Max her last words ( or that's what she thought ) 'Come back' Max smiled and answered. 'I always do' and they lost sight of each other. The most funny fact about this is that he actually came back. Spoilers, I know, but how could I hide this beautiful fact to you? I can't. When it finished, Lucas hugged her, and Liesel cried silently in his shoulder.

"I miss him so much" She mumbled.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure he will come back, don't worry, okay?" Liesel stopped crying.

"Who's the optimistic now?" She asked. Lucas laughed a bit.

"It's not being optimistic, is being sure" Liesel smiled.

"So you're not optimistic?"

"I have never been optimistic" he laughed.

"I know that" Liesel rubbed her face in Lucas's shoulder. He kissed her head constantly.

"I really want an apple right now" Liesel said, laughing.

"I agree, let's go and get one, ja?" Liesel nodded and walked back to the house.

"She opened the cracking, wood door of the house, and grabbed her suitcase, and her coat in her left hand. She felt nervous about visiting her sister, because, for a long time, they didn't have a well-managed relationship" Liesel read. Lucas lied on the grass, with his hand under his head.

"Do you actually enjoy this part? Because it is really boring" Liesel smiled.

"Oh, geschlossen Friedrich, the best part is coming soon"

"How many chapters?"

"Like 7 or 9" Lucas sat down.

"No way, I can't do this, can we get an apple instead?" Liesel laughed.

"What's the thing with the apples!?" Lucas laughed to.

"I don't know! Oh mi little word shaker, always trying to discover the mysteries of life" Lucas passed an arm through her shoulders and pressed him closer to him. Liesel showed Lucas the story Max made for her. About the word shakers. Or what was left of it.

"I'm not your daughter" Liesel complained.

"But you are my girlfriend" Lucas answered kissing her forehead "And you are amazing". Liesel smiled. If you walked nearby you would see the blue-eyed boy and the word shaker, sitting together in the grass. Beautiful sight.
