When Caitlin woke up, it looked nearly five. Luke was still in bed, light snores came through his parted lips, she leaned down pecking his cheek "goodbye" she murmured. If only he understands how much of a scared girl she was, she was lonely that's all she will ever be.
She went to the dryer, grabbing her clothes the smell of lavender still lingering on her clothing. She quickly got changed, throwing his outfit in the hamper. She found a used napkin on the floor and a pen on his nightstand.
"Hey Luke, thanks for letting me stay. I never slept so good, can't imagine how you're felling then again we just met yesterday, you were so great thanks for everything, the clean clothes a nice warm shower, it was nice meeting your mom even though I feel she dislikes me. It's okay, I understand her place who wants a stranger in her home, never really wrote a thank you letter, not really sure how it goes either, and my hand hurts bad. So thanks for the comfy bed, the stew was great also thanks for catching me it could have ended a lot worse for me from Caitlin :) "
She left it on the nightstand and vanished down the streets.
When Luke found the letter he was determined to find her, after all, there was no "don't look for me." Where could she be? Is she hurt? Why did she have bruises? All these questions but with no answer.
Footsteps were near his door, he plead it was caite but when he heard the voice his heart fell "hey, luke and caite breakfast is ready" his mother called, luke existed the room and went for some bacon and eggs.
Caitlin sat in the corner, this time there was something else there too, a mouse. She felt disturbed by it but I guess it was home for two now. She tried falling asleep but failed, as much as caite hates to admit it she wished luke would walk past the alley and take her back home.
Caitlin thought of herself as a one night stand, she had a chance to stay or go it's her own fault for leaving, luke probably didn't want her. Every minute she spent with him she only craved more.
"I want her back, to come back here."
"He could care less that I'm gone"
"I'm gonna go look"
"I'll never see him again"
She only thought of one thing, crawled up in an alley at eight pm, luke.
He only thought of one thing, running the blocks at eight pm, Caitlin.
He was running out of ideas, until the place the first met appears in his view, there's no way she'd be here, why would she come here again?
'Its the only place she knows of'
As he turned the small corner, where he saw a body weeping in the corner. He walked over to her, she was shivering and the rain came down harder, "Caitlin" he breathed, she looked up
"You came"
"Anything for you."
