Chapter 23

Halfway through the night I began to stir, I couldn't sleep any longer. Downstairs I heard some movement, so I crept down the stairs quietly. Dad stood there in the kitchen, he looked extremely stressed and frustrated. I decided I should probably apologize, so I walked in the room and smiled. "Hey dad,"
I whispered.

He looked up surprised "Hey, what are you doing up?" I answered "I can't sleep, what about you?"

He shook his head and sat down. "I'm just thinking, I'm sorry about tonight."

"I was just being dramatic," I replied, smiling.

My dad reached out his arms and I hugged him. No matter what has happened or will happen I will never stop loving him, hopefully he feels the same way.

"You should be getting to bed now, goodnight Ry," dad said. I nodded my head and kissed his cheek. "Love you, see you in the morning."

"Love you too," he whispered, just so I could barely make it out. I slugged up the stairs and began to make my way towards my bed. Sleep washed over me and I didn't wake up till noon the next day.

I threw my hair up and put on some makeup, I had on a pair on black ripped jeans, with one of my dads old hoodies. I thudded down the stairs still tired and found my dad, and Remus attempting to cook some fancy dinner. I rolled my eyes, wow these two were dumb. "I'm hungry," I whined. Remus mimicked me and him and dad started laughing. "What's for breakfast?" I asked. That really got them going. "Breakfast? You've already missed lunch, make your own food," dad said. I was annoyed so I made some toast, which I burned. So then I really got frustrated, and walked out of the kitchen. I sat in the living room watching some tv, until someone walked in and handed me a plate. It had an amazing looking piece of pizza on it, looking up I saw Remus, "don't let your dad know I bought you pizza and not him," he shushed me. I laughed so hard, and hugged Rem. I'm gonna miss them so much. I just hope they stay safe.

Dad sent me upstairs to get ready, I just layed in my bed until I heard the door open. I slipped down and watched Amos' face go white the moment he saw my father. Cedric looked horrified, Remus quickly shut the door and sat them down. I sat on the couch opposite by my dad and watched as their faces changed from fear to understanding. Finally after Amos had heard the entire story, he got up and gave me a hug, I then walked over to Ced and hugged him. "Want to go for a walk while they catch up?" I asked him. Cedric nodded and together we walked outside onto the street. Dang it felt good to have Ced back again.
