When we got home, I rushed out of the fireplace. Dad, Remus, and Molly sat in the dining room preparing for the meeting. They all looked taken back when they saw me and Dylan's tear covered faces. "We need your help." I cried.

Dad and Remus ran over.Molly quickly followed behind. They all asked what had happened. Neither Dylan or I wanted to explain so we had them follow us to Jackson's.

They gasped as they saw the state of the house. I ran upstairs quickly and saw Kaite still glued to his body, crying out in pain. Dad looked completely shocked, and Molly shrieked. Kaite would not stop screaming for help. She was a complete mess. Remus gently grabbed her and pulled her off of Jackson then held her back as my dad lifted him off the ground and onto the bed. "We need to get him to a hospital, where are his parents?" Molly yelled. Dylan and I shook our heads ashamed that we had let Jackson get to this state. Kaite kept yelling out "no." As Remus took a hold of Jackson's arm and and apparated him to St. Mungos.

I sobbed and watched as Molly wrapped
her arms around Kaite. Dylan looked defeated. And shortly after Kaite and Dylan's parents appeared. They looked horror stricken when they saw the state of Jackson's home. Kaite fell into her moms arms. And Dylan's father wrapped his arm around him. "What the hell happened?" Kaite's mom asked. I sunk down picking up the glass pieces.

While Dylan explained. "He felt he had no one, losing Cedric hit him hard. Well harder then we thought it did. His parents have been travelling, so he's had the place to himself. Kaite's been doing everything she could to help. I mean look at her." All of our eyes gazed over to Kaite who looked completely broken. And I sank down into Dads arms.

Amos had made sure these people all knew the truth about my father, so none of them were too uncomfortable around him.

Dylan wiped away a few tears, "when Riley saw him last night, we all knew that he needed help. But he would never forgive us if we sold him out."

I sighed. Kaite cried harder, "I should've told someone. It's my fault." Everyone gave her a sad look. Molly shushed her, "no ones blaming you dear." Dylan continued, "we decided we would come back today and help him. Like clean up, and hide all alcohol. But then Riley found him in here like this, and when I heard her scream I knew something bad happened and here he was." He was crying pretty hard too.

I think everything that had happened in the last few weeks was dawning on us finally. Cedrics gone and Jackson's destroying his life. All three of us were crying, and our parents were holding back tears, having to see their children go through all this killed them on the inside. "We should have told someone sooner." Dylan whispered. I nodded in agreement while looking down at Kaite who hadn't stopped sobbing, since we found him almost an hour ago and I was getting worried.

Remus apparated, back here, and glanced at all three of us. His face saddened seeing us hurting so much. "His parents are with him now, they are terribly sorry for what they put you guys through. And it will not happen again."

He walked over to Kaite and handed her a two small bottles. "This is a calming drought, and this is a sleeping potion, you need this desperately. He is going to be okay." He assured her. Her mother was crying while holding her daughter and her dad held them both. Kaite smiled sadly and her mom quietly thanked him. They took Kaite home, and I was still shocked about what had happened.

Dylan gave me a hug, still crying. I hugged him back tightly. And he whispered into my ear, "today I think I lost both of my best friends." Jackson would never be the same, and neither would any of us. "You'll always have me." I told him and let go. His dad thanked Sirius, Molly and Remus, and then we all headed home.

I cried into dads arms when we landed back into the living room. He sat down on the couch holding me as I broke down, Molly rubbed my back while scolding anyone who dared come into the room and Remus made us all some tea. I sat down with them in the living room. "I'm sorry." I cried to them. "I didn't know it was this bad." They all looked sad. Molly spoke up, "I know that your aware of this, but telling one of us could've saved that boy from this." I cried harder. "I wanted to. But we thought we could handle him on our own. We couldn't!" Dad hugged me tightly. "Kaite looked terrible, you guys need to remember to take care of yourselves as well." Remus said. "I can't." I cried, "you don't understand I need Cedric. I need him more than ever. He's gone and now I feel empty. There's nothing inside right now, and Kaite has been looking after Jackson since the beginning of the summer. Cedric changed all of us. He made us so much better, I'll never be close to the person he was." Dad hugged me tighter, "oh sweetheart."I was trying to calm down but what Dylan said haunted me. "When we were about to leave, Dylan said, today I lost two best friends. And in the cemetery Jackson said that none of us will ever be okay." I said. Molly had tears rolling down her cheeks now too. She grabbed my hand and squeezed it, "You are one  of the bravest girls I've ever known Riley Black. Not a day goes by where you don't put others before yourself, and I've always admired that." She whispered. "Now we need to get some food into you, I'll be back."

That left me dad and Remus alone in the living room. "I know how much this is right now. You're overwhelmed and lost and just sad. Are we sure Hogwarts is the right place for you right now? Do you want to go back there. I know it will bring up lots of memories." Remus asked me. I looked at him, "I am not staying here. Dad, Remus, I love you both more then anyone in this world, but I can't not go." They both nodded. "I'm sorry about today Ry," dad said softly. "Are you guys mad at us?" I asked with tears still falling silently down my face. "Of course not. You thought you were doing what was best." Remus said and dad agreed. "Thank you." I whispered gratefully. "Riley you shouldn't be scared to tell either of us anything. You need to be able to trust us." Dad said. I nodded. "Your right." I took a deep breath. "There's one more thing I need to tell you then." Both of them looked at me curiously. "Last night I had another dream, it was about Cedric, he pushed me out of the way, and saved me. It was in a graveyard." I whispered. Remus handed me a small bottle like the one he gave Kaite. "You need to rest. Drink this." He kissed the top of my forehead. "Love you." He said and walked away. I stayed crying with dad a little longer. "Why don't we go upstairs, I'll stay with you as long as you need." I nodded and he walked me into our room, I drank the drought Remus gave me and fell into a deep sleep.
