I get up and go to my bathroom noticing the dark under eye bags I have from lack of sleep.

You definitely don't look more feminine with these bad boys on your face...

I huff out a sigh of annoyance and pick up a hair tie from off my door handle and fix my short hair into a small ponytail.

"I gotta get a haircut soon these bangs are getting wayyyyyyy too long..."

I brush my teeth and finish getting ready in the bathroom and put on my uniform and grab my backpack and sports bag for practice tonight. Before leaving I glance at myself in the mirror again.

"Today will be great, you can do this jeongyeon. I believe in you."

A soft smile graces my face as I look at my reflection in the mirror at the encouraging words and I head out of my house to catch the local bus on the way to school, reaching into my bag and getting my mp3 from the tiny pocket on the front searching for a good song. I usually tend to just listen to old songs since the stuff of this generation I can't really seem to relate to. Just as I relax myself in the seat a bit more someone taps on my shoulder.

Who in the hell...?

I take my headphones out and hear the voice of a girl saying something to me:

"I said cute girl, your really gonna listen to this old people stuff? My grandma has better taste in music and she's almost 90!"

Who is she to tell me anything about anything?!

I grumble in frustration averting my eyes from looking up to see her overhead.

"And who pray tell might you be, miss marvelous music taste?"

Good one Jeongyeon, stand your ground!

The girl overhead moves closer to my face and begins giggling at my statement, her long dark hair softly ticking my face and landing on my mp3 screen. I finally move my eyes up above to make eye contact with her.

"Just a new girl around here trying to make some friends."

This unknown girl with cherry red lips smiled the biggest goofiest smile I think I've ever seen and in that moment I thought only one thing:

Pretty.
