*several hours later *
One car ride, a private plane trip and another short car ride later we were driving down that long road that leads to the Asylum… with my head rested against the window looking out into the forest watching the light flickers between the leaves giving the forest floor a golden tinge. And if you’re wondering if we have a plan the answer is no. Luke didn’t think that we would need a huge scale plan with ropes and maps because he knows this place like the back of his hand so we’re going to “yolo” it as he put it.
“And for your info they think Ashtons dead” he blurted out turning a corner.
“Why?” I asked flipping through the magazine Luke bought me at the airport.
“Oh they thought I was Ashton, apparently we look alike?” He said with a slight giggle, I frowned and looked over at him closing my magazine.
“You look nothing alike!” I exclaimed
“Yeah well seeing one has lost his eyes and the other hasn’t” he said pushing his rectangular glasses against his face “Everyone makes mistakes” he states and the Asylum comes into view.
“Bunch of idiots” I sighed as we passed the gates and entered the Asylum grounds.
Luke parked the car in front of the entrance where Boris and Hansel stood with their arms crossed looking down at us we got out of the car and Luke strutted over to my side “Okay now my Aunt thinks I’ve been on the run looking for you guys so I’m going to hand you over” he said grabbing me by the scruff of my neck and violently jerking at it.
“Um no” I screamed swatting his hand away and pushing him back, I’m not going to be “handed” over and if I am I’m sure as hell not going quietly.
“Raven listen to me this is the only way to get you in!” he whisper shouted in my ear yanking at my arm and pulling me towards the two steroid junkies. He basically threw me at their feet and I grazed my knees and hands on the stone stairs trying to stop myself from any real harm.
“Here” Luke said dusting off his hands “Take her to my Aunt she’ll know what to do with her” he continued walking past us and into the Asylum without a second glace back at me.
Boris and Hansel grabbed me by my arms and basically dragged me through the Asylum while patients looked on screaming, yelling and cheering some grabbing at the two guards clothing and yanking at it… I wonder if this is what would have happened if Luke didn’t step in when I first arrived here. Hallway after Hallway, Staircase after Staircase and we were finally at her office the smell of roses filled my nostrils and I almost forgot how “classy” she actually is, the bitch.
“Come in” she yelled from behind the door, Boris leaned forward and opened the door and they both chucked me onto the ground in front of her desk. She stood up and looked over her desk at me and smiled then told the two gorillas to leave us alone.
“Ahh Raven” she said sitting back in her chair and folding her hands in her lap, I got to my feet and fixed my clothes then my hair then finally made eye contact with her.
“How was your Christmas?” she asked swinging on her chair slightly
“Good, got a car… how was yours?” I asked taking a seat in one of the crappy chairs she had in front of her desk, she smiled and turned slightly.
“Great actually, got two presents this year! But you can guess who they are” she said smiling and picked up a remote and turned on a television that was hanging from the ceiling “Oh and I got this!” she cheered “isn’t it lovely! Now I can watch everything in this place in my office!” she continued as the picture appeared and to show Michael jerking in a chair violently.
