**GRAYSONS POV**
Three months later.
I lay in my bed alone. Well not alone, there is a girl beside me but not Amber though. This one is perfectly skinny - maybe too skinny, she has longe, straight blonde hair - but it's not as soft as Amber's, her attitude isn't as sweet as Amber - she's more rough and careless with her words. But that doesn't matter because I don't matter to Amber. My head pounds with agony and regret. The girl wakes up a little and rolls over so she's now laying on me, her head swoops up and plants a kiss onto my exhausted lips. I kiss back, pushing her back onto her back so that I am hovering above her naked body.
A pattern of pounds hits my door before someone yells from behind. "Grayson! Dolan!" It's Ethan.
"What?" I snarl.
"Nothing never mind." He sighs before I hear two sets of foot steps run down the stairs.
I wonder is with him, the steps fast - kind of like Amber when she runs down the stairs. But it can't be, it just can't.
I turn my attention back to the girl with pleading eyes, her hand travels up my back and into my hair as I connect our lips again before trailing hard kisses down to her thighs.
**ETHANS POV**
I turn my head to focus my hearing on the front door, a soft knock hits it. A knock I don't hear too often anymore. The knock of my best friend, Grayson's ex-girlfriend. Amber.
I jump up off the couch and run downstairs to greet Amber with an excited smile, I loose the smile when I see Amber's face is looking at the ground. "Amber.?"
She looks up and pulls a fake but reassuring smile. "Hey Ethan." She sort of whispers nervously.
"Do you wanna come in?"
"Oh, does Grayson have someone over again? I want to talk to him."
"I'm not sure, he's still in bed. Come up stairs and I'll check."
She nods slowly and smiles a little while stepping inside the door. She looks around as if she were taking in her surroundings, like it was her first time coming inside before.
The two of us walk up the stairs, Amber waits at the stairs, nervous and scared while I walk to the door beside the stairs. I hit my balled fist hard against the door to Grayson's bedroom waiting for his reply.
"What!?" He barks at me.
I look to my right to see Amber shake her head and look down before starting to walk back down the stairs.
"Nothing never mind." I sigh before running after Amber.
Once I reach the bottom I gently grab Amber's arm, "You don't have to go."
"He probably wont want to see me anyway, it's fine." She whispers letting a single tear fall.
I pull her close to me and wrap my arms around her shoulders as she hides her head in the crook of my neck, we stay standing here for a while. She continues crying and I continue holding her tight. That is until two people start walking down the stairs, I turn my head slightly to see Grayson walking with a skinny blonde girl with messy hair. Amber knowing who it is doesn't move her head, just wraps her arms tighter around my waist and sort of holds her breathe to stop the sobbing, Grayson continues walking past us with the blonde girl.
"Where are you going?" I growl a little.
"For a walk, is that a problem?"
"You can't go see Amber."
Amber moves a little in my grip almost like she's trying to hear what he replies with.
"Why not? What makes you think that's where I'm going anyway!?" He snaps back.
The blonde girl gets in her Uber and smiles at Grayson.
Grayson can see Amber, not her face but the back of her, she dyed her hair so the bottom is blonde and the top is still her natural brown. I'm surprised he hasn't noticed it's her.
"Well Grayson you always walk to her house and you cant because she isn't home."
"How do you know dumbass, did you just walk there!?" He begins to loose his temper. He does this every time I try and talk about Amber.
Amber releases her grip and I also let go of her, she turns around to face Grayson. "No, he knows because I came to see him." She says with a clear sign of sass and exhaustion.
Grayson stands there shocked.
After Amber said she wanted a break she avoided Grayson, so he hasn't exactly seen her in three months. He's seen her at the mall and when he goes out but that was after he sort of gave up trying to get her back.
"Y-you dyed your hair." He states nervously.
"Yeah." She sighs turning back to face me.
She wants to cry again. She smiles while shaking her head.
When I said Grayson hasn't seen her, that didn't mean I hadn't seen her. She called me a few times and we spoke, she mostly asked about Grayson, she even came over a few times but only when she wanted to talk to Grayson. He was always with someone though. I would tell her it was his way of forgetting her. Grayson doesn't know that I still talk to Amber, I thought it would tear him apart so I never told him.
"A-are use two l-like a thing now or something?" Grayson asks quietly. Almost like he doesn't want an answer.
"No." I say as Amber turns back around.
"Are you and that blonde chic a thing?" Amber snaps without seeming too angry.
"What!? No."
"Or the chic from the other night, or the one you were with last week, maybe the one from two weeks ago. Or was there two the other week." Amber starts stepping closer to Grayson. She sighs. "Sorry, that was wrong."
She looks at me and mouths a goodbye before she tries to walk away. Grayson stops her before grabbing her arm, his face is sad but determined. "You left me."
"I know, I came... don't worry." I can barely hear her whisper.
**GRAYSONS POV**
"I know, I came... don't worry."
But I am worried. She looks as if she's been crying for a long time - she looks as sad as the day I found her in her room with bleeding wrists.
"Tell me..." I whisper taking a step closer to her.
