Elena smiled as she walked towards Liv after parking her car in the studio parking lot.  As per usual Liv was dressed as if she'd just walked off the pages of a fashion magazine, complete with six inch stilettos.  She was holding her phone to one ear while she held her other ear closed with her fingers while she desperately tried to speak to whoever was on the other end,

"What?  He-hello?"  She pulled her phone away to look at the screen and then put it back to her ear, "Can you hear me?"

Once it became clear the call had dropped she she pulled the phone away again shaking her head,

"The service here sucks."  She grumbled.  She looked up just as Elena approached, "Oh good,"  she said with a smile, "You're here."

Elena nodded,

"I'm here."

Before Elena could say another word, Liv focused on her hand.  She walked forward, reaching for Elena's hand,

"And with a very important piece of jewelry on an even more important finger."

Elena pulled her hand away, nervously scratching her head,

"Oh...that..."

Liv focused her eyes on Elena's,

"Yes.  That."

She folded her arms over her chest as she waited for Elena to explain.  Elena sighed,

"We're engaged.  He asked me this morning."  When Liv raised her eyebrows Elena stared back at her, "What?"

"A baby and now a wedding?  Things change rather quickly don't they?"  She said as she turned to open the door.

Elena followed Liv inside,

"I mean...we knew this was coming-"
"Before the baby?"  Liv asked as she searched for the right door.

When she found it she pulled it open.  Elena held her hand out to stop the huge steel door from hitting her,

"Yes...before the baby...can you wa-"  Elena stopped, "Liv, wait!"  She yelled out.

Liv turned to look at her.  Elena pushed her hair out of her face,

"Why are you acting like this is a mistake?"

Liv raised her eyebrows,

"I just asked a question."

"It was a rude question."

Liv stared back at her for a moment before folding her arms over her chest again,

"Alright.  I'm sorry."

Elena wasn't sure why she felt the need to defend herself.  Liv was her employee, not the other way around.  But Elena had always valued her opinion and to be honest, this reaction made her uneasy.

Elena sighed,

"We're getting married and having a baby.  And I'm happy."

Liv nodded once,

"Alright."

"And he would've asked me even if there wasn't a baby."

Liv nodded once again,

"Alright."

"And I want you to stop talking to me like I'm making a mistake marrying him.  Because you know I'm not."

Liv sighed,

"I don't think you are making a mistake.  But I wish you'd slow down.  Neither of you knows what is going to happen when this kid is born."
