the doctor closed the door as everyone stayed outside the room. hana and soojung stayed at the door, watching these people in white check up on jinae.

eunwoo called her family nonstop who's line is weirdly busy.

minah worked on papers required by the hospital.

nurses and the doctor inside jinae's room started to slow down.

"guys, guys!" hana called out to their friends. the boys gathered and they all waited for the doctor.

"anyone from jinae's family who's here?" the doctor asked but everyone couldn't answer. the doctor looked around and saw one familiar face. "you've been here for her check up, right?" she asked and eunwoo nodded.

"can i talk to you for a minute?"

the doctor brought eunwoo inside jinae's room and began, "she might have experienced a severe shock which affected her a lot. this may result to two things. she could remember what happened today or again, forget everything from the first day."

"but other than that doctor?"

"other than that, she's fine. just don't let her get stressed out." the doctor said before leaving the room.

eunwoo called everyone to let them see jinae. they all stared at her. minah hugged soojung and hana before breaking into tears.

"tell us honestly, what's happening eunwoo?" hana said.

eunwoo moved to the other side of the bed and brushed away those hair covering jinae's face. "she has cognitive disorder. she's been forgetting everything she knows. even me, her family, even seungcheol..." he caressed jinae's cheek and added, "even herself."

"why didn't you tell us right away?"

"that's what she wanted. that's what she asked us to do." eunwoo said.

"now what are we going to do?" insoo asked.

"we just have to wait until she wakes up. we are unsure of what exactly happened to her."

"she must have been surprised when she saw danbi and seungcheol kissing." jason said.

"why were they even kissing in public? myungsoo and i haven't kissed in public even if we've already been dating for years." soojung said.

"they're different, indeed, soojung. no need to wonder about that. we don't even know when they started dating. all we knew was seungcheol seemed to have stopped seeing jinae. that he changed. he became different towards jinae." minah said.

"guys, can we all calm down and not quarrel here? let's go out and maybe just wait for a good news." hana said. luckily everyone agreed.

"i'll stay until jinae's family arrives." eunwoo said.

an hour later, jinae's family arrived. they brought food for eunwoo as well.

jinae's mother told eunwoo he can go home and let her family be her guardian as they wait for her to wake up. but eunwoo insisted to stay, wanting to be there when jinae wakes up.

they were thankful eunwoo was there. they truly trust this boy for taking care of jinae.

they've all prepared. it was already 8 o'clock in the evening. only one guardian should be left, and the rest must leave.

"you can go home and rest, eunwoo. just prepare your clothes. if jinae won't wake up yet, we would like to ask you to look after her for a while."

"but how about his school?" jinae's father asked.

"oh, sorry. i forgot you still go to school." jinae's mom said.

"don't worry. i can tell my professor about it. i'm sure they'll allow me." eunwoo said.

jia agreed and eve bragged that eunwoo is a top scorer in their class so they don't have to worry about his grades. he'll pass even id he don't attend his classes.

while they were chatting, they suddenly heard a knock on the door. jia opened the door and it revealed the doctor who has been treating jinae.

"good evening." the doctor greeted and the family greeted her back, including eunwoo. "jinae haven't woken up yet?" she asked and they shook their head.

"but you don't have to worry. she'll be fine. she just needs to rest." the doctor assured them.

"how's jinae?" minah asked but eunwoo shrugged his shoulders.

"we brought fruits. for you and jinae. you should eat healthy, eunwoo. you can't eat noodles alone or just buy food from convenience stores. keep those junk foods away."

"hana's right. you're taking care of jinae but you are forgetting about yourself. that's not good." minah said as she put trash into the bin.

whilst doing their own things: minah cleaning up the room; hana preparing food for eunwoo; eunwoo washing up in the rest room; jinae gained her consciousness back which everyone didn't notice.

jinae slowly opened her eyes. those pair of eyes that looked soulless stared at the ceiling. it was dull white ceiling that truly cleared her mind.
 
eunwoo quickly dried his face and hands with the towel hanging at the door.

"have your breakfast, eunwoo. them have a banana or an apple." hana said.

eunwoo chuckled before walking towards jinae's bed, "i'm not the patient here. it's jinae." them he planted a kiss on her forehead after brushing her hair up. "good morning. oh, you're awake —"

"she's awake?" minah shouted before the two ladies rushed to check if jinae's really awake. "she is!" minah exclaimed.

"are you alright?" - minah

"jinae! can you recognize me?" - hana

meanwhile, eunwoo just stared at her, holding her hand in his. they all waited for a response but jnae remained silent. hana and minah looked at each other, before hana broke to tears.

"is she alright? why is she not talking? eunwoo!" minah exclaimed as she shook eunwoo's shoulder.

"i-i don't know. i don't know! what the doctor told me is—"

"just call the doctor, eunwoo! we don't  have the power or magic to tell what is happening now." hana said and eunwoo did it right away.
