Richard's pov

The nurse looked around at all of us.
"Which one of you is the husband."
"Uh me." Andrew said standing up.

She walked toward him and she showed him some paperwork he had to sign to consent to any surgery or anything.

"Two people can come back to the room, she's heavily sedated she probably won't remember anything but she can hear you. Then she will be going into surgery."
"Do you want to go?" I asked Kristen
"Yeah come with me, it's best if Viv stays here."

We followed the nurse to room 217.

"You have a few minutes take your time." The nurse said closing the door and walking out to the hallway.

I grabbed Kristen as she started to cry. I hugged her tightly. I looked over at Avery and she was laying there with her eyes closed. Some dried blood on her face and in her hair. A pretty deep wound stitched up was across her arm, I then saw bandages wrinkled around her stomach. It was then I was sure she had lost the baby. Kristen pulled away and sat down on the small blue chair next to the bed. She started whispering to her, saying how she's sorry and she didn't mean for this to happen and she loves her. She kissed her on the forehead and motioned me to sit. I began by telling her that she was strong and she would get though this. I kissed her lightly on her hand and sat next to Kristen on the couch on the other side of the room. I put my arm around her and kissed her lightly on the lips.

"I love you Kristen Nicole forever and always my beautiful." I whispered in her ear to make her feel better.

The nurse came in and told us we needed to leave. They then took her up to surgery and told us we would be informed on everything soon. Apparently when she slammed on breaks she hit the windshield and a large piece of glass got stuck in their stomach so they have to remove it. It shouldn't take that long but it could if needed.

"Can we go get some air?" Kristen asked looking toward a door leading to an open seed with flowers and benches.
"Yeah come on."

I opened the door for her and watched as she looked out to the city, it had an nice view for being on the fourth floor. I watched as she buried her face into her hands. I quickly wrapped my arms around her and she cried in my arms. I ran my hands through her long dark hair. I didn't want anything to hurt her. She was too special to be hurt. God I loved her so much. She looked up at me and planted her lips on mine. She kissed me softly, it was like a yearning for love. I have to say out of all the times we've kissed, this one was by far the best. We were interrupted by the sound of the door opening.
