***FlashBack***
"See you later, Vanessa," James says to me and I smile at him, waving goodbye as I walk around the front of the school, waiting for dad to come pick me up.
I'm five years old, you see. Patience isn't part of my motto. I hope you all understand. And here I am talking to myself again. It's a bad habit. Sometimes I think I am more mature and that's why I think this way.
Rainbows have leprechauns at the end of them; fact.
"No one likes you!" I hear someone yell. I turn around, raising an eyebrow. Everyone likes me! I hope they do at least. I've never done anything wrong.
I spot a boy with blonde hair mixed with brown being cornered by a couple kids from my class. I've never actually seen him before, though. I start walking over when I see someone hit him straight in the face, making me gasp.
"HEY TWATS!" I shout, walking up to the boys with force. They turn around and look at me and I look down at the boy who's now shielding his face.
"Vanessa.. What are you doing?" one of the boys ask me. I believe his name is twat-master. That or Brad.
"What are you doing?" I ask him, glaring at the other boys.
"Come on he's a dork," one boy says, making the others laugh. I roll my eyes at them and look down at the other boy who's on the verge of tears.
"Leave him alone and don't bother him again or I'll get Nathan down here and he wont be to happy will he?" I ask Jake, eyeing him up at down. His brother and mine got into a fight and lets just say, my brother can throw a punch. And a kick.
"And Seth and Shane.. They have friends.." I trail off, getting bored with them.
"So your friends with him now?" Brad asks me, pointing to the boy that has tears spilling out of his eyes and down his cheeks, onto his shirt.
"Leave now, don't bother him and don't talk to him and don't say a word about him or this. Got it?" I snap at him and he nods, running off with the others as I sit down next to him, moving his hands away from his eyes and wiping his tears,
"I'm Vanessa," I say, smiling brightly at him.
"I'm Liam," he whispers.
Liam. I like that name.
"I have a feeling we're going to be very good friends," I say. He looks up at me with his pink puffy eyes glassy but clearing up a bit and smiles.
"Vanessa!"
"Liam!" two different voices shout and I turn around, seeing my dad and another man walking next to him, practically running.
"Hello Vanessa!" the man says and my dad smiles, bending down to look at me and Liam.
"Who are you?" I question him.
"I'm Liam's dad, I see you two have met. It's been a while since we moved and got settled in," he explains and my dad nods, smiling at me.
"Are you okay?" my dad asks Liam and I look over to him and he nods at my dad as we walk away, waving goodbye.
Liam's POV
"She helped me. She made them go away," I say to my dad and he looks down at me with a smile on his face. I don't like how the lads here have been bullying me.
"Well that's good. You'll be seeing each other a lot," he assures me and I look at him confused. Well only here and for a short amount of time five days a week. She hasn't noticed me until I had to cry in front of her.
