Where Are You?

Hey Guys! I'm back with Ch#13. Hope everyone likes it. ENJOY;-)

Nex fluttered his eyes open. He stretched himself and stood up to see Tails was gone. He saw Sonic was still sleeping. He roughly shook him.
"Hey! Sleepy head! Get up already!" He said.
"Um...what is it Nex? It isn't that comfy on this floor ya know!" Sonic said waking up.
"Huh. What time is it?" Sonic said as he was stretching himself.
"Forget the time! Take the notice!" Nex said.
"What?" Sonic said looking around when he finally realized that Tails wasn't there.
"What the?! Where did he go?!" Sonic panicked.
"I've got no idea! I woke up to see he was gone!" Nex declared.
"He couldn't leave on his own! He doesn't even knows where and where not this place leads to!" Sonic said looking around.
"Maybe he heard someone?" Nex concluded.
"In that case we should find him quick!" Sonic exclaimed.
"C'mon, let's go this way!" Nex pointed at the second hallway of the three ahead. Sonic nodded in reply and they both ran in a new direction for the search of their friend. But, unfortunately, they didn't knew, Tails went the other way.

With Tails:

Tails walked in the direction his mother told him for hours. And finally, he reached there. The center of Z-0-0-1.
The room was huge. The floor was carved with complicated and beautiful designs. The room was made of dimly golden bricks. So the walls, the ceiling and the floor were giving a beautiful ancient gold shade. Technically, there were no torches or any other light source in the room. But it was still glowing. Up on the ceiling, there was carved a crystal broken in two. Tails tilted his head not knowing what that meant.
In the center of the room, there was what looked like an altar.
Tails was confused. Not knowing if any of these stuff meant something or not. How come he can find the core of life here? In a room with nothing but carved images and an altar?
He had a sudden feeling that he should go up there. On the altar.
He slowly took his steps up the stairs to the altar. When he reached the top, his feet pushed something that caused the whole room to shake violently. To maintain his balance, he bent down on all fours.
Later on the shaking stopped and all the carvings begin to glow, golden. Starting from the corners of the room to altar, each carving glowed. Tails watched, his eyes wide, he gasped at what was happening. When the golden glow on the ceiling reached the carved broken crystal, the room glowed all at once. The light more than before. Tails was blinded by the light as he quickly covered his eyes with his arms.
Once, he reopened his eyes, he wasn't in the same room. He wasn't even in the maze. This wasn't even Möbius!

The place was an endless white and empty void. Wherever you look, it was all empty. Empty in all directions. Tails was standing alone and confused.
"Hello? Anybody here?" He called but the only reply came was his own echo.
"Anyone?" He called again but nothing. He turned around to see if there was something he missed. Nothing. He turned back to his initial position and he was shocked at what there was. Seconds ago, the place was empty, now there stood a beautiful and big tree. Its leaves were baby pink and were fluttering vividly in the air. The bark was a beautiful color of dark brown.
Tails walked towards it and closely inspected it. He touched its bark smoothly. Something was not adding up. What's up with this tree?
"Why does this tree feels so close to me?" Tails thought.
He never got to answer himself as a leaf landed on his nose.
"Huh?" He examined the leaf. While he was looking at the leaf, many other began to fall, one after another. It looked like it was spring season. The soft and delicate leaves touching his body and surprisingly, none of them touching the floor. Instead each took a new way with the wind across the void. The sight was lovely. He forgot about everything and begin to adore the tree. But when majority of the leaves fell, Tails begin to worry. But his concern didn't last as everything begin to fade. He looked in all directions and then back at the tree.
"Wait!" He called as if it could hear him but nothing.

"Thank you."  He heard a female voice when everything faded to black.

At Bygone Village:

Amy brought Amaya with her to Tails workshop so they can have enough room for Sticks and Knuckles too.
Amaya explained them that she was friends with Nex. And he went out if sight so she had to come as she was the only one who made things better between Clades and Nex. But what she didn't told them was that she escaped all the way here.
After her story, Amy told her that Nex and Clades already made it and are out there for solving the mystery of the Fallens with Sonic and Tails.
"Fallens?" Amaya asked just to be sure.
"Yeah they went after the voices yesterday." Amy said
"Can you tell me where they went?" Amaya asked.
"In the somewhat middle of the dark forests, there was a cave that Nex opened. They went there." Amy explained.
"Can you lead me there? I still have to talk to Nex." Amaya said.
"What is left to talk?" Sticks asked.
"Something...... Personal! Yeah it's personal." Amaya replied.
"Kay....." Sticks said.
"So, who is leading me?" Amaya asked the trio.
"I'll be." Amy said. "I'll take you to Nex and you can talk to him while Sticks and Knuckles will look around for any danger in the village." She stated.
"So I'm in charge!" Knuckles asked excited.
"No. Sticks is." Amy said as she and Amaya left the workshop.
"Aw.... Why don't they let me do anything." Knuckles exclaimed.

At The Cave:

"This place is endless!! It's impossible to find him here!!" Nex exclaimed throwing his arms in air. They've been searching for Tails for a long time. Everywhere they went looked the exact same as the last. Currently they were in another hallway which led to four more.
"But we can't quit! We need to find him." Sonic said.
"Sure. But the real problem is: There. Are. No. Fallens. Here!!!" Nex shouted annoyed and angry.
"I feel like I should blast something right now!! And I know I need to blast something right now!!!!!" Nex shouted again as he charged his fist with a green energy ball while Sonic backed off. Nex pointed his fist at a wall and blasted it with all his strength. But the wall was unaffected.
"WHAT THE-!!!?!!!" Nex shouted again.

Meanwhile:

Amy and Amaya heard something explode that caused rumbling in the maze. Yes, they saw the opened trapdoor and found the maze. That explosion proved they weren't far from their friends. But at the same time they were worried about why was there an explosion?
"What in the name of chaos was that?!?!" Amaya asked.
"I think we're near them. I just hope that explosion didn't hurt anyone." Amy said concerned.
"Then what are we waiting for! Let's go!" Amaya said as both of them ran in the direction from where the voice was heard. To be continued....
