She felt familiar arms around her as she stood at the bar to order another beer. Smiling she turned and was face to face with dark eyes that warmed at the sight of her. "Hey, Hap." she smiled as she kissed his cheek.

He smirked and pulled her in tighter. "Hey, little girl." he said as he nuzzled his face into her neck. Looking at the two you could almost bet your life on them being a couple. But you would be dead wrong. Happy and Lexi had been friends for the better part of 15 years. She was the daughter of Tig Trager and she had decided to go to college in Washington. Happy took on the duties of making sure she was safe and through the years they had built the friendship they have now.

"I can't believe you transferred to SAMCRO." she said with a wide smile.

He shrugged and looked up at her from his seat at the bar. "Believe it." She rolled her eyes and took a long sip from her beer. She looked around and saw Juice walking up and felt the heat raising up into her cheeks. Happy smirked and nudged her. "When are you going to tell the idiot?" he asked.

She shook her head and leaned against the bar. "I'm not... and neither are you." she said as she gave him a glare.

Happy chuckled and grabbed his beer. "Stop being a pussy." he chided, knowing the reaction he would get.

In true Lexi form she puffed out her chest and stood tall. "I ain't a pussy." She looked over to where Juice was currently sitting, getting a lap dance from one of the girls and let out a heavy sigh. "I'm being logical. He isn't into someone like me."

Happy rolled his eyes and kissed her temple. "Any guy would be lucky to have someone like you." he said as he walked away.

She stood there, watching him walk away with her eyebrows furrowed trying to comprehend the words that just came from Happy's mouth. She was so thrown from what Happy had said she didn't notice Juice standing beside her. "Hey, Lexi." he said.

She turned around to see Juice's smiling face and almost spit out her beer. "Uh, hi." she muttered. She could feel her heartbeat speed up and begin to flush.

He rested his hand on her back as he reached for the bottle of beer he had asked for. "See ya around." he said as he headed back towards the couch he was at earlier.

She sighed heavily and left the bar, heading for some fresh air. She sat at the picnic table, about to light a smoke when Happy came out shortly after. "What you doin out here?" he asked as he sat down next to her.

"Needed some air." She said as she took a drag off of the cigarette. "I blew it in there."

He smirked at her, "I saw." he said, stealing the cigarette from her. "You need to have more confidence. Treat him like you treat the rest of us. You have no problem talking to me or Jax. What's so different about him?"

She thought about it for a second. "That's the thing. Juice isn't like you guys. He's goofy and sweet."

Happy feigned offense at that comment. "I'm sweet."

That comment made her laugh. "About as sweet as a lemon." she said as she stood from her seat. Happy grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her waist. She didn't protest. She loved the safe feeling it gave her. "What did you mean earlier; about any guy would be lucky to have me."

He sat quietly for a second, choosing his words. "Look, you're funny, smart, hella cute. Anyone would be lucky to have you."

She blushed at his words. "Thanks, Hap." she said as she kissed his cheek softly. Leaning into him, they sat in comfortable silence.

Happy was torn. He had started to catch feelings for his best friend years ago, but refused to say anything because it'd be suicide dealing with Tig. He wanted her to be happy and he knew she liked the idiot, so he stepped aside, yucking his feelings away. "Wanna get outta here?" he asked her.

She nodded but remembered she got a ride from her dad. "Shit. I have no wheels." she sighed.

He smirked and pushed her away so he could get up. "C'mon. I'll take ya home."

A few days later Happy was in the middle of working on the exhaust of his bike when Juice came up to him. "Hey, Hap? Can i talk to you?"

Happy stood from his work and nodded at the younger Son. "What's up, brother?" he asked as he wiped his hands on a rag.

"What's the deal with you and Lex?" he asked as he leaned against the work bench.

Happy sighed and shrugged. "Nothing. She's my best friend. Why?"

Juice shrugged and looked over to the tow truck that you were just getting out of. "I dunno. Seemed like something the other night." he said as he turned to face Happy. "You two look good together."

Happy shrugged again. "I ain't who she wants." he said and quickly cursed himself for saying anything. He promised he'd keep his mouth shut.

Juice's eyebrows rose. "What?" he asked, looking at the way Happy was shifting his weight, obviously uncomfortable. "What do you mean?"

Happy shook his head and went to his tool box to put his tools away. "She's into someone else." he said.

Juice nodded and looked him over. "But you want her." he said matter of fact.

Happy stilled his hands, "No shit. Who wouldn't. She's smart, gorgeous, funny as hell." he started, smiling a little. "I've loved that girl since the day I met her. Just didn't say anything to her."

"Why?" he heard the familiar soft voice coming from behind him. He shot around to see Lexi standing there awestruck.

"How long you been standing there?" he asked as he watched the smile creep up on her face.

"Long enough." she said as she moved in towards him. "Why didn't you say anything?"

He looked at her and looked at his feet. "Just never thought I would have a chance... And your dad would skin me alive." he said truthfully. "Besides, you like the idiot."

She sighed heavily looking at Juice. "Shit..."
