Waking with a groan she lifted her head only to have the room spin around her. She felt the bile rise in her throat and ebbed the impending nausea away. Her head felt like it weighed fifty pounds and by the way her mouth felt she could tell she had smoked last night. "I am never drinking again," she said as she put her hands over her face. That's when she felt the cool metal on her left hand. Her hand shot out in front of her and her eyes tried to focus on the small band that was placed on her left ring finger.
Panic rising in her chest she tried to sit up, only to have an arm drape over her. "Morning," she heard a tired deep voice beside her say.
She looked over to her right and saw the familiar face of her best friend, "Uh, morning... What the hell happened last night?" she asked pulling herself up off the bed and making her way around the room in search of her clothes.
"You're guess is as good as mine, little girl." He said as he attempted to sit up, but flopped back down on his back as his head began to throb. "Last thing I remember is pulling Tig out of that strip club."
She laughed at that. "That's the last thing I remember too." she chuckled as she sat down on the edge of the bed, throwing Happy's shirt over her head. "Last thing I really remember is going up to the bar for one last shot, after he begged us." They sat in silence when she shot up off the bed, "Mother fucker!"
Happy watched as she began to pace and grabbed her hand to still her. "Will you stop! You're making me dizzy." he said as he looked down at his hand and saw the metal band around his hand. He too shot out of bed. "Son of a bitch!" he growled.
She whipped around to see what he was going on about and noticed him staring at the ring. "Oh yeah, looks like we have a matching set." She said as she lifted her hand for him to see.
He looked at the ring on her finger and furrowed his brow. He'd be lying if he said he'd never thought about putting a ring on her finger, just never imagined it happening like this.
"What do we do now?" he asked.
She looked at him as a sinister smile spread across her face. "We find Tig."
*24 Hours Earlier*
"I can't believe Clay okayed this trip." She laughed as the sat in a booth. They had been riding for hours and needed a break so Happy lead them to a diner he spotted,
Happy smirked across the table from her. "With Tg, no less." he snorted as he watched the wild man pull himself into the booth.
Tig had a wicked smile on his face as he leaned in close to her. "Listen doll, with all the shit that's been going on with the club, we all need a break."
She rolled her eyes and shoved him a bit. "We're here on business first. Once we get this over with, then we let loose. You hear me?" she scolded him.
He laughed and rolled his eyes. "Fun sucker." he sighed, looking over the menu. Once they ordered their lunch they got down to business. "You remember the plan?" he asked looking at her seriously.
She nodded as she took a sip of her drink. "How can I forget?" she said with distaste. "I walk in, shake my ass, get him all hot under the collar and lead him out to you and Hap. You guys do what you have to and we high tail it out of there." she said. "Still don't understand why I have to be almost naked though."
"Cause we need to make sure he takes the bait, doll." he laughed.
"What? You don't think he'd fall for my shining personality?" she shot him a wide sinister smile. Happy actually laughed at that. She shot him a glare and threw a fry at him. "Seriously, you two are gonna be the death of me."
