“Dad, you promised.” you whined as you flopped down onto the sofa watching him put his cut on.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Club has business today. We’ll go tomorrow.” he said as he kissed the top of your head.
You huffed as you stood from the couch. “Can you at least give me a ride to the garage?” you asked.
He nodded and you both headed out to the garage. You had just turned sixteen and you were itching for someone to let you drive. Your father had promised you that he would take you out this weekend, but as usual, club business came up.
When you got to the garage, you were relieved to see Jax and Opie in the garage working on the motorcycles they had got at the beginning of summer. As you walked in you sat on one of the work benches and threw a rag at Jax. He looked over at you and smiled. “Hey, darlin’. Thought you were supposed to be going driving with Bobby today.”
You rolled your eyes and sighed. “So did I.” you said.
Opie looked up from his bike and came and leaned against the bench beside you. “You can help me with the bike if you want.” he offered.
You rolled your eyes and smirked. “There’s no helping that bike.” you teased.
He nudged you, “Asshole.” he mumbled before flashing you a wicked grin.
You jumped off of the workbench when you heard the bikes leave, seeing that Tig and Kozik were left behind. “I’ll see you dickheads later.” you said as you headed over to the picnic table where they were sitting. Kozik noticing you first.
“Hey, angel face.” he said as he wrapped an arm around your shoulders smiling at you. “What you doing here?”
You shrugged. “Wanted to get out of the house. Dad was supposed to take me driving today but he got called out on club shit.” You started as you sat on the table top of the picnic table. “Speaking of which, why aren’t you two with them?” you asked.
Tig shrugged, “Babysitting duty.” he said as he leaned back on the table and laughed at the grimace you made.
“Seriously?” you asked, your voice an octave higher than normal.
Tig shook his head. “Nah, doll. Was just a meeting with a buyer. Didn’t need everyone.” he explained.
You smiled and looked between the two. Thinking for a second a mischievous look crossed your face. Kozik noticing you right away. “Whatever your thinking, it’s no.” he said. “My eyebrows still haven’t grown in all the way.”
You rolled your eyes. “That was one time Kozy.” you laughed. “You gotta admit, that shit was fun.”
He rolled his eyes but chuckled in agreement. “Piney still looks over his shoulder when he heads into the bathroom.”
Tig let out a laugh as they thought back on the day you got Piney back from scaring the living shit out of you. You had stole some firecrackers from the shed and set them up in front of the bathroom, knowing Piney was going to take a shit. After they were set up, Kozik lit the fuse, only the flame got bigger than either one thought it would and singed his eyebrows. But in the end it was worth it, watching piney burst out of the bathroom, gun drawn, pulling his pants up in the process. The punishment was worth it.
“So you guys aren’t doing anything today?” you asked Tig.
He thought for a second and shook his head, “Nah, why? What’s up, doll?”
You smiled wide and put on the best puppy dog eyes you could muster. You knew Tig couldn’t say no to them. “Wanna take me out driving?”
He took one look at the puppy dog eyes and caved. “Fine, but if you crash, you stole the car.”
You smiled wide and jumped off the picnic table running to the office of the garage to grab the keys to your new car. You and your dad had bought a junker and spent the entire year fixing it up. It was your baby and you had yet been able to drive it. You could drive, but not a stick shift.
They guys met you by the car and you threw the keys at Tig. “Lets go Tiggy! Burning daylight.” you said as you slid into the passenger seat.
Tig threw his head back and laughed. “I’ve created a monster.” he mumbled to himself.

Tig had finally found a safe place for you to drive. It was a back road that had some hills in it to teach you to start on a hill. You got into the driver's side, with Tig in the passenger seat and Kozik in the back. “Ok, you know how to drive, so this should be kinds easy for you. You have to pay attention to the car more now though. Watch your RPM’s and you’ll know when to shift.” he explained.
You nodded as you put it in neutral and started the car, clutch pushed in all the way and your foot on the break. “Got it. You ok back there Kozy?” you asked as you looked back, you feigned offense when he popped up wearing his helmet.
With a bright smile and a wink he fastened his seatbelt, “Am now.”
“Dick!” you chided as you looked forward and chuckled. “Let’s do this.” you sucked in a breath as you shifted into first gear and let off the clutch slowly like Tig had instructed, only to stall. You cursed under your breath and started it back up and tried again. You got it into first and did well until Tig told you to speed up. You watched the RPM’s and changed gears, only to jerk the car.
Tig threatened to laugh as you cursed. The language coming from your mouth was getting more colorful, the more frustrated you got. “Don’t you dare laugh, Trager.” you warned.
He bit his lip and looked at Kozik who was turning a bright shade of red trying to hold his laughter in. It was the first time he noticed the blonde man wearing his helmet and lost it.
You whipped the car into third with ease the angrier you got at the laughter. After Tig lost it, Kozik couldn’t hold in any longer.
You cursed them out as you accelerated and went into fourth gear. Their laughter was contagious and soon consumed you. You began to relax and soon changing gears like a pro. Going along the backroads with the windows down and music loud. You were in your element.

When the guys pulled into the lot they had a couple of hours of daylight left and Bobby was going to take you out for a lesson. He walked over to the garage where Opie and Jax were leaning against a workbench talking, looking around for you. “Where’s (y/n)?”
The boys stood straight and thought about the outcome of telling Bobby that you had roped Tig and Kozik into taking you driving. Jax smirked. “She left with Tig and Kozik.” he said as he began to relax a bit.
Bobby sighed and nodded. You could be anywhere with those two. He looked around the lot and saw the car was gone and he looked back over to the boys. “She took the car didn’t she?”
Opie laughed, “Technically, Tig did.”
Bobby smirked and walked back over to the clubhouse to have a seat at the picnic table to relax. Only to hear the sound of Bon jovi blasting through a stereo. He looked up from his spot and saw you behind the wheel singing along loudly with your co conspirators singing right along with you.
As you stopped the car, and killed the engine you noticed the guys were back. Getting out of the car you smiled sheepishly at your father. “Hey dad.” you said as you walked up to him with Tig and Kozik in toe. Kozik still wearing his helmet.
Bobby laughed at the sight and shook his head. “Looks like you got the hang of it huh?” he said as you sat next to him.
You smiled wide as Tig and Kozik winked your way heading inside. “Yea. Wanna go for a spin?” you asked.
He stood and grabbed his helmet. “Let’s go.”
