Kailyn's P.O.V
I shove the last pair of shoes inside my suitcase and yawn. It's Saturday, 4:00 a.m. In other words, it's competition day.
"I'm done." I sigh and flop on my bed. I've been up since 3, finishing up the last of my packing.
I pull down the sleeves of my sweater and force myself to get up off my comfortable boyfriend. Yes, my bed is my boyfriend.
I pass the other boys bedrooms and hear light snores coming from each room. Oh, how I wish I was sleeping right now. I don't think I can do this almost every weekend.
Sluggishly, I seat myself at the table beside Liam.
"I'll go call Danielle. Go ahead and eat." he gets up and grabs his phone from the coffee table, opens the glass sliding door and disappears into the backyard.
I grab the toast and bacon, too lazy to eat anything else.
The boys couldn't leave town to come to the competition with me, but they felt bad to send me by myself, so Liam asked Danielle to come with me, and she agreed.
"Ok Kailyn, Danielle is on her way." Liam sits across from me.
"You really didn't have to wake up with me, Liam, I could've handled things myself." I say, filling my mouth with waffles.
"No. At least one of us should be awake when your leaving and it's my turn to wake up the boys and make breakfast in a few hours." he yawns. "And I say this for all the boys, we're really sorry we can't make it to the competition."
"Yeah, I understand. That's how it is." I sigh.
To say that I'm disappointed the boys can't make it is an understatement. I'm crushed, but I really do understand. They're a world famous boy band, they have other stuff they have to do. The fact that Danielle will be with me eases my disappointment, just a bit.
"I'll get your bags from upstairs," he rises from his unfinished waffle. "Danielle should be here soon."
"Thanks Li." I take out my phone and check the time. We have to be at the studio by 5:30 to get on the bus.
4:24 a.m
I sigh. I shouldn't be awake at this ungodly hour. Resting my head on the table and hoping to catch just a few more minutes of sleep, a loud car horn disturbs my moment.
"5 minutes. That's all I wanted." I grumble to myself, standing up and opening the door.
"I'm coming, Dani, hold your horses!" I shout, silencing her annoying car horn.
"Liam, she's here!" I holler up the stairs. Liam comes down with my purple and silver suitcase and my shoulder bag and follows me outside to the car. I step outside and the cold wind hits me like a hurricane. Wrapping my arms around myself and pulling down my shorts, I turn to Liam, who just finished putting my suitcase in the trunk.
"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow." I wrap my short arms around him as he does the same.
"Good luck, and once again, I'm sorry." he plants a kiss at the top of my head and opens the car door for me. He goes around to the driver's side and gives Danielle a short, sweet kiss and soon enough, we're driving away from Liam.
"How you feeling?" Dani asks.
"Sleepy." I mumble, pulling off my light brown UGGS and stretching my feet out completely on the seat, snuggling into the small pillow I brought.
"Me too."
"Thanks for coming with me."
"I'm always up for a good dance competition," she smiles at me for a quick second before focusing back on the road, "Now get some sleep. You need as much as you can get."
