Kailyn's P.O.V

Wow.

It's been an hour and I'm still not over that kiss.

It felt like it was the Fourth of July and the epic fireworks were going off in my stomach, as cliché as it sounds. That was also my first kiss. I may be only 13 and might not know anything about love, but this definitely isn't some stupid crush. It's more than that [lmao I guess you could say 'more than this'???]

I'm surrounded by people in love. Liam and Danielle, Eleanor and Louis, Sam and Niall, Perrie and Zayn. Someday, I dream to have relationships like they do.

It was a short kiss, but it sure as hell meant a lot to me.

"Kailyn!" Abby hollers, shattering my thoughts like a glass window, "I'm sick and tired of you zoning out like this! You're so off your game this week!"

"I'm sorry Ms. Abby." I mumble, everyone turning to look at me.

We are currently rehearsing our new group dance 'Royals', inspired by Lorde's hit single, 'Royal'. Personally, one of my favorite songs.

"I really don't think you're able to do you're duet with Maddie this week." Abby sighs.

"No! I can do it Ms. Abby. I promise." I plead.

Maddie and I have a duet titled 'Two Sapphires'. As much as I don't enjoy Maddie's company, I really want to do this duet. It's such a beautiful piece, and the choreography and music are stellar.

My foot has been bothering me since earlier and I think I just haven't stretched properly or something. I don't like unnecessary attention, so I ignore it. It's not that much of a bother anyway.

Abby doesn't say anything for a moment, "Okay. Everyone go get a drink, I want you all back in here in 10 minutes."

We all nod, walking outside and into Dancer's Den, completely exhausted.

"So Nia," Maddie sparks a conversation, "Are you excited for your solo this week?"

Oh yeah. That's right. Abby gave Nia a solo entitled 'Goodbye Maya' and it's absolutely amazing. Abby said she deserved it and worked very hard these past weeks.

"I'm so excited for it. If I don't win though, Abby may never give me another solo."

"Well, I think you're gonna win this time. This solo is way different than any other solo you've done." I encourage, fixing my ponytail.

"Yeah, I think so too. This solo has your name all over it. I think the judges are really gonna enjoy it." Chloe pipes up.

"What about you Mackenzie? Are you excited for your lip syncing solo?"

Abby gave Mackenzie a lip syncing solo called 'Love Doctor' because she's releasing a single soon. Abby is testing her to see if she can handle singing and dancing, live. We also all have auditions for her music video soon.

"I'm not nervous at all. The dance is really fun and the song is really easy to remember. I think I can do it."

We all nod.
