So that's Kailyn's costume. It took me forever to find something close to what I wanted. Also the group dance is there, Kailyn is the girl who is standing and starts dancing first (Kalani). I hope you guys like it.

Kailyn's P.O.V.

"Girls!" Abby shouts. I'm pretty used to her shouting every morning instead of just coming to get us herself.

The girls and I remove ourselves from our stretching positions and head into the room where her screech came from, the moms already standing patiently.

"Morning girls, let's get straight down to business." Abby says as she reveals who is lowest on the pyramid, which is Kendall.

She continues to go up and Maddie is first on the second row, which means I am on the top.

"And at the top of the pyramid this week is," Abby says enthusiastically and reveals my picture, "Kailyn! You shone in that duet, your facial features were perfect and I saw no technical problems."

"Melissa, if I were you, I'd be worried about Maddie, because Kailyn's coming in here and pushing her out of the spotlight." Abby tells Melissa, who is shaking her head, obviously disagreeing.

"Solos," Abby rubs her palms together, "Kailyn, you have a solo. It's a jazz piece called 'Unstoppable'. I want to see you look unstoppable out there." Abby tells me and I cheer silently. I've wanted to do a jazz solo ever since I got here.

"Maddie. I'm giving you another chance to prove you're still a winner, so that's why you will have a solo as well. It's a tap number entitled 'Hollywood'. You haven't done a tap number in a while."

So Maddie and I are going up against each other, again.

"Kendall, Chloe, you will be doing a duet called 'Better Together.' It's a lyrical number." Abby tells them. Christi looks unsatisfied, but it's probably just another thing she's upset about. Don't get me wrong, I love Christi --she's always helping me with my costume and helping to curl my hair-- she's just always upset about something.

"Right now, everyone is in the group dance. It's a contemporary dance with a lot of ballet steps in it called 'Frost'." Abby explains, "Moms, you're dismissed, girls spread apart."

After stretching and learning more than half of the group dance, Abby decides we can take a break.

"Okay girls, go get a drink and rest a bit, Kailyn, I want you back here in 5 minutes. Gianna and I are gonna start with you first." Abby informs me. I nod and the girls and I exit.

"What's going on with you and Cameron?" Chloe asks as soon as I step into the Dancer's den.

"Nothing." I reply truthfully, taking my water bottle out of my bag and taking a sip.

"So why aren't you talking to each other? Why is he always with Maddie?" She fires the questions rapidly.

I sigh, putting my water back in my bag, "I don't know Chloe, he's your brother. Why don't you ask him?"

"I think we both know that he isn't going tell me anything." She huffs, crossing her arms.

"Well I'm sorry. I just don't really want to discuss it. I have to go, Abby's waiting." I say, walking past her.

Before going back to Abby, I stop at the bathroom to wash my face. I look at myself in the large mirror, noticing just how pale I am today, and how tired I look. I splash the cool water on my face, making me feel refreshed and energized. I dry my hands and step out, but as soon as I walk out, someone grabs my wrist and pulls me into the small store of ALDC dance wear and into a rack of clothes.
