It's Thursday and Dakota and I are going to sleep over at Addison's house for the night. I'm not going to dance. It clearly states in the contract Louis signed that I shouldn't miss a single day of dance unless it's really serious.

One day off won't hurt anyone.

The bell rings, signalling the end of school. I quickly close my books and shove them into my bag. I sling the bag onto my back and bid a goodbye to my Science teacher, rushing to my locker. Logan's first football game is today and Addison, Dakota and I agreed to go watch.

I know I was a bit harsh the other day and left him alone, since then we haven't really held a decent conversation.

There's absolutely no way I'm missing this game, even if we're speaking or not.

"Ready to go?" Addison comes up behind me once I take out my jacket-- just in case it gets cold-- and close my locker.

"Um, yeah. Can we just go to the bathroom, lemme fix my hair and stuff." Dakota says.

"Yeah, okay." Addison and I agree. I tie my sweater around my waist as we walk. It seems as if everyone in the school is going to see this match. Groups of friends scramble past us, heading outside to the football field.

I push open the bathroom door, seeing a few 'plastics' hunched over their make-up kits in front of the mirror.

I tip on my toes, trying to see myself in the mirror as Addison pees. Dakota stays behind me. Just as we turn to leave, the group of girls push past me and strut past Dakota without a word.

"Well aren't they just little balls of sunshine." She huffs, rolling her eyes.

The toilet flushes and Addison steps out as I redo my half up ponytail. I fix my sweater on my waist and tug down my shirt. Dakota does the same.

"Okay, let's go." I sigh. We walk out to the football field, looking for a less crowded space to sit. We see Natalie and her jet black hair stand and wave us over to where Eric and her are sitting.

"Hi." I wave to the two as I sit. They respond with a 'hi' also, and they all engage in a conversation, which I don't really pay attention to.

I stare at the field, watching the two teams huddled together on opposite sides of the field. The cheerleaders are in the middle of the field, discussing something intently.

I spot Logan looking up at me.

Should I wave? What if he's not actually looking at me, but someone behind me? If I wave and he isn't looking at me, I'd look stupid. Maybe I should wait until he waves to me. Or maybe I should-

I decide to stop over thinking the matter and wave shyly at him. He waves back.

See? Now was that so hard?

Actually, it was.

"So, Eric, where's Mason?" I butt into the conversation, interrupting Addison on something that happened in her History class.

He laughs at Addison's sour expression before replying, "He's on the team. He's right there beside Jason."

I look down, finding Jason opposite from Logan, and sure enough, Mason stands beside him.

"Oh, cool." I say, "I didn't know that-" I'm interrupted by the cheerleaders starting up their cheers, meaning the game is about to start.

The cheers draw to an end, and the crowd's excitement dies down a bit. As the cheerleaders form their pyramid, right there, front and center, stands Brianna.
