Kailyn's P.O.V.
After what Chloe said to me 3 days ago, the words kept replaying in my head, non-stop.
Maddie doesn't play fair.
I shrugged it off as Dakota and I step out of class and meet up with Addison and Logan.
"You okay?" Dakota asks me "It's your birthday and you don't seem too happy."
"Yeah, I'm okay. Just kinda bummed about my test result." I half lie. That was a pretty hard test though.
"Oh. I got a B+. That test sucked." she laughs and pushes me slightly.
"Yeah, I got a B+ too." We spot Logan and Addison at Addison's locker, talking.
"Happy Birthday Kailyn!" Addison throws her arms around me, seeing as she hasn't seen me all morning.
"Thank you." I laugh and stumble back slightly at her force.
"Happy Birthday Kay." Logan uses the nickname he gave me and gives me a hug too.
"Thanks Logy-Boo." I pinch his cheeks, knowing he hates the silly nickname I gave him in return.
"I'll let it slide this once, since it's your day today." he puts his arm around me and I lock elbows with Dakota and she locks elbows with Addison.
"What are you gonna do today?" Addison asks after we get our lunch and sit down.
"Nothing. Just go to dance after this and then go home, I guess." I shrug at her and she nods.
"Hey, Logan, you coming to football tryouts today, right?" Some dude, I think his name was Jake, sits at our table.
"Yeah, definitely." Logan answers him. I raise my eyebrow.
"You play football?" I ask him.
"Yeah. Surprised?" he smirks at me.
"Yeah. You don't look like the football type." I reply and Addison nods in agreement.
"You look more like a basketball person." Dakota pipes up.
"Well, I play football, and I'm pretty good at it," he smirks at all of us, then turns to Jake (I think that's his name) "I'll be there." he says.
"Okay, see you there. Happy Birthday by the way, Kailyn."
"Thanks... uh." I scratch my neck awkwardly.
"Jason." he reminds me and leaves.
Jason. See, I was close.
"I'm definitely coming to watch you. I've gotta see this." Dakota laughs at him and Logan rolls his eyes.
"Dakota, can you record him failing? I just can't miss this either." I laugh with her. Just imagining Logan doing football is funny.
"Stop laughing. I was the captain of the team back in middle school." he brags.
"Yeah, right." Addison joins in on the laughter.
"You guys don't believe me? Fine. You'll see once I get on the team." he huffs, folding his arms over his chest and sulking.
"Aw, don't cry Logan, some people just aren't meant for football." Dakota sobers up before the rest of us.
"Shut up. You guys will see."

"Happy Birthday!" Nia, Kendall and Chloe say in unison as I walk through the door.
