"Oh dear.

"She's not gonna make it." He pants, grabbing at his gold locks as he paces around the room, his boots clicking against the wooden floor.

Once, twice, for the third time he checks the watch hanging on his wrist, his eyes flickering back and forth.

"Relax." I mutter, leaning back in disinterest as he groans out in the corner of the room.

Almost with the speed of lightning, he is towering over me, both hand grabbing my collar as he leans in panic.

"No, no, baby boy you don't understand!" He heaves, his eyes searching mine for something I do not have.

What did he call me?

"Gray's at a dance party right now and it's being held by our school and I'm not there."

"So?" I ask, raising one brow.

"So Mr. Nice Legs; those jocks are going to bully her and I can't have that happening to my daughter. Do you want her to come home crying again? She's alone in the world with no one to dance with. This is unacceptable!" He 'ugh-s' sassily.

Then once more, he paces around the room.

"Wait," I call, his figure hyperventilating. "If she's alone, does that mean she's unprotected from all harm?"

Kei looks at me, pointing to the back door. "Can you drive?"

I jerk up, both of us scrambling towards the door as we make our way towards the back and to the driveway.

An old, but still usable car parks at the sides, striking black and shining despite its old age.

"Get in, boy." I command.

The sound of the engine greets my ear as I work my way with the contraption. Soon, we are on our way.

Maybe a bit beyond speed limit.

Kei screams, holding onto the back of my seat as I make some sharp turns, the building of her school peeking over a corner.

"Oh dear god, I didn't know you could drive." He says, eyes wide as we reach to a stop. "You didn't tell me you had a license." He laughs, patting my shoulder before stopping, seeing the look in my eyes.

"There's a first time for everything."

His brows furrow, his lips curling as he makes his way out of the car. "You sir are not a normal human being. Then again, I'm not too. Let's go!"

The tap of our shoes echo as we stride along the empty hallways, soon greeted by the sound of loud music as we reach what I assume the gym's doors.

"Whatever happens behind this door, I want you to know." He begins, being overdramatic as he grabs both my face. "You are such an amazing person and if Gray were just a bit slower, I would've gotten your man ass so mark my word."

I smirk at his antics, his glare failing to waver me. "So you don't love me?"

He clicks his tongue, pecking my cheeks before storming into the crowd of dancing people.

"Okay, I was joking about the whole man ass thing part." He notes, gesturing with his hand as he makes his way through, the light glowing purple and pink, red and yellow.

He flushes when I grab his face, playing an act as I lean closer to his damn feature.

"You better be careful, Kei. One wrong move and you might discover who I really am."

He backs away, crossing his arm as he tips his head. "You cheat on Gray and my fist is going to be close friends with you. Even if that person is me."

I find myself closing in, my steps vivid and wild as I grab the back of his neck. "And you cheat on your crab, you're not the only thing hanging dead on my wall. Mark those words."

He shivers, quickly nodding before he pulls me through the mass of crowds, the familiar figure of Gray coming to vision.

She wears a dark blue dress, rippling as waves as it curves down her body; every inch of the silk seems to hug her body perfectly, showing below her knees.

She's so damn gorgeous.

Kei was right, some jocks are harassing her.

Poking her, teasing her, calling, whispering.

Bullying my beautiful girl. How dare they?

She just sits there, her smile a frown as she does her best to ignore them. But to her dismay, their teasing only worsen.

Kei was ready to barge at them, But I stop him, closing in on them myself.

Gray's beautiful eyes make contact with me. "Reid―? What are you doing here?"

I hold out one finger, telling her to shut up before I swing my hand towards one of the boys, slapping him square on the cheeks.

More of a backhand.

He squeaks, his body staggered and stumbling onto the floor. Due to the loud music, only the few around us stop to see the commotion.

"Dude!" He gasps, wanting to stand and attack before I slap another one of them.

"Bad boys!" I scold, almost like a mother. "Go away, what would your mother think of you? Picking on a lady. Be ashamed!"

They hiss, but scrambling some other place in the end.

I turn around with a sigh only to meet two pair of eyes staring at me with a clear 'what the scallop' face.

"Reid is a mad mother confirmed." Kei smirks, looking at my half angry feature.

"You didn't have to, you know?" Gray whispers, looking a bit guilty before I pull her into a quick hug.

I pull Gray out of the crowded room, the refreshing air hitting us as we reach the hallway.

At least, it's more refreshing than in there.

"Do you... still want to stay?" I ask, our hands locked together before Kei comes running out.

His face flares red, his breath coming in pants. "You left me in that hell hole!"

Gray laughs, leaning in to kiss my cheek before giving Kei a hug.

"Well, I guess that's our ticket home. You two are so overdramatic."

Very overdramatic.
