Tsukishima's POV
"What happened back there?" I asked Kageyama as I walked out of the kitchen. Aki stayed behind, washing some dishes, and the rest of us were still eating. She wanted to calm herself down first.
"What do you mean?" Kageyama asked.
"You just told me to get in there and calm her down, she didn't even tell me why she was crying, so what happened?" I asked once more.
"She was just frustrated, that's all," he said nonchalantly as he kept eating.
"Jealous?" Jiro asked, smirking my way. I rolled my eyes as I took my seat.
"She didn't tell you either," I answered with a 'polite' smile. He scowled at me.
"What's up?" Aki asked, coming over to sit down too. We all shook our heads, leaving her unanswered, and she shrugged.
She stopped eating lunch with me and Yamaguchi since that day.
Akira's POV
"You've been working pretty hard lately, Aki-chan!"
Hinata said as we were walking home together.
A couple months have passed since the tournament and the badminton club schedule hasn't exactly gotten any easier. Each week has been filled with training., each one harder than the last, but I have to admit that it's been quite a rush.
"There's definitely a huge difference between how you were before this all started," Kageyama-kun said. He's gotten pretty comfortable when talking to me, I guess we got a lot closer since I vented out to him back at the cafe
"You've been staying at Tsukishima's a lot, haven't you? His family must be taking care of you well!" Yachi-chan said. "Though, there's something I've been meaning to ask."
"What is it?" I asked heer. She looked away as we walked down the road.
It was already night time. We had all finished practice and wanted to grab a light meal at the cafe before we all headed home. A cold breeze passed through.
"You and Tsukishima-kun haven't' really been talking much lately," she said. "I know yous sleep over at his place since his mom urges you to but, have the two of you been fighting lately or something?"
"Yeah, you don't even eat lunch with him and Yamaguchi anymore!" Hinata said.
"Ahh, it's no big deal," I said, letting out a laugh. "We aren't fighting. Besides, Hinata, you cheer a lot when we come over to eat lunch with you because of the pastries I bring! Are you complaining?!?"
"I'm not!" he said defensively. "I like hanging out with you, not just for the pastries-"
"You always ask for some whenever we eat lunch though," Kageyama said and we all burst out laughing as Hinata eventually gave up.
As expected, the cafe staff was in the middle of closing up.
"Do you always get home this late?" Mina-san asked, placing her hands on her hips as we walked through the door.
