Scares (Cassata x Reader)

Relying on the moonlight shining through the windows of the haunted house, you made your way down the corridor. Alone.

At one point, you had gotten separated from the trio. You had thought about calling out to Cheese, Cassata or Pizza, but you didn't want to risk alerting the staff members of your location.

Just as you were about to retrace your steps, a scream echoed throughout the building. That made your whole body tense up before you let out a tired sigh. The Scream must have belonged to Pizza. No one could have screamed that loud.

Heading in the direction of the scream, you failed to notice the soft thumps that followed you from behind.

"(Y/n)..." That whisper stopped you in your tracks and made chills run down your spine. Oh hell no, you were not going to turn around at all. One of the staff members knowing your name is pretty creepy already.

The steps drew nearer until they came to a stop behind you. "Turn around~," they whispered as you felt the tips of their fingers run up your back, making you jump.

"Boo!" A hand then suddenly slapped down on your shoulder and forced you to turn around. You could only scream in fear as you raised your hands and started to hit the person, repeatedly.

You would have continued your assault if it weren't for the person grabbing hold of your wrists, "Ow, hey! Calm down! It's me, Cassata!" The food soul cried out as he held back his laughs.

"Cassata!? What the hell is wrong with you?" Pressing your lips into a thin line, you glared up at him with all the hate you could muster. "You scared me close to death! You couldn't have come up to me normally?!"

Releasing your wrists, he let out a small chuckle before he patted you on the head. "But where's the fun in that?" He teased you. He had been following you around for quite some time when he noticed you head down a different hall than the others.

You swatted his hand away, letting out a small huff as you did so. "Ugh, I understand how Pizza feels now... Where did the others go?" You walked ahead of him, not wanting to walk by his side after that small trick of his.

"I don't know. I just followed you after you split up from us," Cassata quickly caught up with you, a small smile on his lips. "Don't be so mad, (Y/n). At least you aren't wandering the Haunted House alone anymore right?"

"...Hmph, I'd rather go through it alone." You huffed out. Just as you said that one of the staff members jumped out from the corner with an ax, "AAhhh!!" You let out a shriek and went to hide behind Cassata, who didn't flinch at all.

The staff member quickly ran off after hearing your shriek, probably going to hide somewhere else.

Grabbing on to Cassata's scarf with slight shaking hands, you peeked out from behind. "Is the ghost gone?"

"Mmhhmm..." Was all Cassata said as he gripped his scarf, trying to loosen your grip on it. At least you didn't accidentally choke him as Pizza did. "So, still want to go through the Haunted House alone?"

With a light blush on your cheeks, you nudged him forward. "Keep walking, Cassata. We still need to find the others!"

Walking past a coffin, the both of you thought nothing of it.

It wasn't until you were a few meters away from it when the coffin door slowly slid open and out came a creepy laugh.

Letting go of his scarf, you moved on to his arm instead. You held on to him tightly with your eyes squeezed closed. "It's not following us right?"

Cassata looked behind him and watched as the coffin slid close, the staff member running off in the opposite direction. "Nope...They went back to hide in the coffin." He lied. "You going to let go any time soon?"

"I-I'll let go when we catch up with Cheese and Pizza. Let's just hurry up..." Bashfully, you hid your face in his sleeve.

A light blush appeared on his cheeks at how close you were, making him wonder if you even knew it. "You don't need to cling on so tightly, you know?" He told you before using his free hand to ruffle your hair. "The others should be close now. I can hear Pizza's screams already~,"
