Nutpaw was sharing tongues with Darkenedpaw when a group of warriors that she didn't recognize. "Lionstar!" Gloomstar meowed loudly. The leader of the group whose name seemed to be Lionstar. "Gloomstar!" Lionstar hissed. "You have a Dawnclan kit in your camp!" Gloomstar stepped back. "W-what?" He stumbled. "You know Greenclan would never kidnap from Dawnclan!" Suddenly, Darkenedpaw ran to the apprentice's den.  "Hey, wait for me!" Nutpaw mewed running after him. Snowpaw followed Nutpaw. Flamepaw and Yellowpaw were already in there. "What do you think is happening?" Nutpaw asked, not to anybody in particular. "I dunno" mewed Flamepaw. "I know what's happening" Shadowpaw meowed. All the apprentices looked over to her. "About four moons ago, Mudspeed found a kit in the forest" she mewed. "No one knows who the kit is, but they are somewhere in this very clan!" Everyone gasped. "I bet it's Yellowpaw!" Flamepaw growled. "She's such a fleabrain!" Yellowpaw's ears perched up. "What? Did someone call me?" Everyone mrrowed in laughter except Snowpaw. She moved closer to Yellowpaw. "Hey!" She hissed. "What?" Shadowpaw purred. "Are you gonna fight for her?" Snowpaw growled. Nutpaw felt a weird feeling. If Snowpaw liked Yellowpaw enough to defend her, then why wouldn't she like Nutpaw enough to spare a simple mew? Suddenly a Dawnclan warrior ripped through the apprentice den entrance. Everyone in the den screeched. The warrior bared his teeth but he was soon pulled out of the den. The apprentices watched Sparrowwing and the warrior claw each other until blood stained the floor. Nutpaw's eyes started fogging. This was the most serious fight she had ever witnessed. Soon, she heard the roar of Greenclan's deputy, Stormclaw. "Stop!" She spat. Everyone suddenly stopped fighting. "Dawnclan has killed one of Greenclan's queens. This has to stop now!" Gloomstar said nothing. Soon, all the cats from Dawnclan had left. As soon as it was safe to get out, Nutpaw was the first to hop out of the den. She looked around and spotted something that made her feel sick with grief. She ran over to the corpse of the queen, who was Longclaw.
