Bella Fury rushed to the Stark Tower as soon as she got the tensed call from her adoptive father.

✕Powered by DNSUnlockerNick Fury has been her only family for the entire twenty-six years of her existence. Although she thought of him as a father, he had never allowed her to call him that. The only thing she was allowed to call him was, "Mr. Fury" or "Director Fury".

Today's mission was slightly odd. She was told to remain out of the scene and yet use her powers to help the Avengers. According to Director Fury, an alien with the name of Loki, wearing green and black clothes had invaded earth with a bunch of destructive aliens and she had to make sure that the Avengers were winning.

The entire city was in chaos as Bella tried to make sense of the situation. She saw centipede like things flying through the sky. She saw Captain America fighting relentlessly and a man wearing a red cape, swinging his hammer around and hitting the grotesque looking aliens wherever he could. She saw Iron Man flying about and the Hulk smashing. She saw no sign of Natasha or Clint, the only two people she personally knew among these six avengers.

Bella's powers were unique and quite literally, down to earth. She could control the earth. Like literally. She could conjure up small earthquakes or make large holes appear in the ground, sending her enemies to the molten magma layer. She could make trees grow slightly faster as long as the soil was nourished.

She could also control the gravity slightly.

She could make things slightly heavier or slightly lighter.

She looked up at the centipede and concentrated really hard. And, just as she thought, the speed slightly got lowered due to her increasing it's weight ten times. She walked around discreetly, making the aliens heavier and the Hulk lighter to aid the heroes in whatever way she could.

There was chaos all around her when she stopped dead in her tracks. She thought she was looking at her own reflection except for the hair. The hair was red. A dark red, with black highlights.

Bella's hair was brown. A nice chocolate brown, the colour of fertile earth. With soft waves. But the woman in front of her had the same hair. Only red.

There was nothing Bella could do about the other woman. She saved the confrontation with Fury for later.

"I have a twin sister?" Bella exclaimed as she looked incredulously at Fury.

"I didn't think I would be the one telling you this," Fury said matter-of-factly, "in fact I didn't even know about her being here until a few hours ago."

"Who are my parents?"

"Your father was a farmer. Your mother? Well, that is one whole different story and I am not the right person right now to tell you that."

"Please Director," Bella pleaded, "I need to know. I have spent all my life wondering what my parents were like. I need to know."

"You will, in time."

Bella knew that tone. It meant that she was not getting another word about that topic. Instead, Fury just looked down at his desk and picked up a couple of documents.

"Bella?" Fury asked, his voice formal again.

"Yes Director?" Bella replied formally, knowing she was about to get the briefing of the next mission.

"I have already created a false identity for you. Sophie. With this name, you will enter a Hydra facility."

"Hydra? Aren't they gone?"
