Warning: Slight smut throughout.
AN: Since this is the last chapter, it will be extra smutty and a little longer than average. 😊
"So, a pair of socks, a sweater and a scarf?" said Bella, putting away their plates when they were finished. "You must be really excited for winter."
"I am," said Bucky. "And I was surprised when you told me you were longing for my lips. Really, I never expected that."
Bella blushed and looked down and Bucky took that opportunity to tease her more. He put his index finger under her chin and tilted her head upwards, kissing her lips gently.
"Is this what you longed for?" asked Bucky, his lips not completely leaving hers.
"Bucky," sighed Bella. Bucky kissed her deeply, letting his tongue explore her mouth. She softened as he held her waist, pressing her body flush against his. He opened his eyes slightly and eyed a small folder on one of the seats.
"What's that?" asked Bucky, stopping the kiss.
"It's the report," said Bella, "from your psychiatrists. Everything that they have found out about you are here and it was sent to me for future references. You don't have a problem if I see through this, do you?"
"Of course not, doll. There is nothing I have to hide from you."
"Good then. It is just a report."
"Let's read it," suggested Bucky and Bella looked at him in confusion.
"Why would you want to read your psychological report on your birthday?" asked Bella.
"Because I feel like I gave an exam. I need to know how I did. I know I passed, but I need to know how well."
"Alright then."
Bella grabbed the file and put it on the table. She randomly opened a page.
"Sergeant James Barnes," read Bella out loud, "seems to have severe anger issues. What is unusual about it is how different his attitude is around Miss Fury." Bella stopped reading and gave him a small smile. "His pulse is faster than normal, indicating how close he is to hitting someone or leaving the room in case something offensive happens. But around Miss Fury, he is calm, quiet, his pulse normal, and his pupils dilated. She seems to be the principal reason why he had been able to calm down enough to remember his past and the rest of the details."
"Wow," said Bucky, blushing a little, "I didn't know my pulse was different when I was around you."
"It was nice reading that."
"Read something more, doll."
Bella flitted casually through the pages. "The Winter Soldier," she read out loud, "is another split personality of Sergeant Barnes where his limbic lobe works without control and his cerebrum is blocked, hence blocking voluntary actions. The Soldier has been programmed to not ask questions or answer them, be them as simple as asking him if he was thirsty. They were mainly etched inside him by muscle memory." Bella's voice became lower and Bucky knew what she was about to read next. He tried to reach for the file but she swatted his hand away. "The tests we performed suggested that he was scared of asking a question, his back muscles clenching involuntary. He was probably whipped or electrocuted every time he questioned his orders. He has permanent deformations in his brain where asking questions causes him an obligatory fear."
