I bobbed my head in tune with the cheerful music as I laid on my four poster bed and and read the Bible. "Honey, I thought we were going to visit Grammy at the nursing home," my mom's voice comes up the stairs. Oh cheese, I was gonna do that.

I hopped up and wiggled into some skinny jeans and threw on a turquoise T-shirt. I pulled my wild curly hair into a sloppy bun and charged down. "Quinn, don't you need shoes?" My father chuckles. I smiled sheepishly and dashed upstairs, threw on some coral tomms and run past my parents.

"Let's go," I said grabbing my parents by the hands and dragging them the old Volvo. I bounced up and down in the back as my parents got in at a snail-like pace. I love seeing Grammy. She has the juiciest stories from her youth. My dad ignites the engine and we slowly make out way down the neighborhood.

I stared at Melody's house as we pass. Melody had been my best friend since preschool. We were the outcasts so it just fit that we would be friends. I groaned. Can my parents go any slower? My dad checks the speed gauge and slows down. Well, apparently he can. My parents are law-abiding folk.

Finally we inch into the nursing home parking lot. Now nothing stands in between Grammy and I! Well except for my car door. I thrust it open and bound in not even waiting for my parents. The check in nurse stared suspiciously at me. "I'm here to visit Nancy Davis,"I breath. "Go ahead I guess," she smacking on gum. I nod and run down the hall.

I rap on Grammy's door and rock on the balls of my feet. I then heard a familiar voice telling me to come in.
