She plopped me down on her purple quilted me and asked,"Where have you been?" How can I break it to her. "Well you see... I've umm," I stutter. "Start at the beginning," she demands. I take a deep breath and begin. She's a very good listener, gasping at all the right times.

Once I'm done she says,"Wait, that makes you a.." Twilight on my mind I responded,"Say it." She looks up at me and dramatically said,"Vampire." I didn't bother asking if she was afraid because I know she isn't. Melody rarely gets scared. "So that means, we're both mythical huh? I'm kinda glad. Now I don't feel so alone and alien," she said grasping my hands.

"Yeah but it's sad too," I tell her remembering my mortal friends and family. Of course I could always make them vampires too, but I doubt they would be happy with me. And it would feel weird too. Melody nodded. Changing the subject I said,"How about we go to the bookstore?" Melody's face brightens considerably.

We tromp out and I forget about the stalker ford. "How about we take bikes?" Melody asked hoisting herself onto her mountain bike. I without hesitation grab Justin's (cause I know he won't care) and we head out.

We lock the bikes up and run into the bookstore. We're a bit eager. It is a bookstore though. We immediately head to the teen section and search. Melody walks of to a different section for awhile and I'm left with my thoughts. I looked through the window and noticed the black ford parked in the parking lot.
