I charged in and see Grammy tucked into a white bed. I enveloped her in a hug. "How are you dearie?" She asked kindly. "I'm doing great!" I exclaim and then notice her roommate. A frail lady dozing in her bed. "Oh sorry," I whispered.

Grammy smiled toothily at me and said,"Don't worry she won't wake up." My parents stumbled into the room and we go thru the whole thing all over again. Then a pale man strolled in. He must be a visitor to the frail lady.

Grammy keeps talking and doesn't notice him. He is kinda creeping me out. He's staring at me with an almost hungry look. I flinched. Grammy looked up and sees him. "Quinn, look out!" She screamed at the top of her ancient lungs.

"HE'S A VAMPIRE!"

I cut eyes at mom. "Grammy, calm down! He is just and ordinary man." I knew Grammy was getting old but I didn't know she was crazy. She continued to point at him. The man starts to walk towards me and I back up to dad. He grabs my dad and slings him across the room with super human strength. I screeched as my dad slumps against the wall.

My mom ran over to dad and squatted next to him. The man smiled wickedly and creeped towards me. "Leave me alone, you creep!" I yelled sounding braver than I am. Grammy kept repeating VAMPIRE! VAMPIRE!

He grabbed my neck and I was sure he was about to choke me. But instead he sunk his sharp teeth into the soft of my neck. I screamed and flailed as I felt the blood drain from me. The pain was so intense that I wish I could die.

And I might.

Mom left dad and flung herself onto the man but he threw her off as if she weighed nothing. She laid on the floor by semiconscious dad and they couldn't tear their eyes away from the gruesome sight. Darkness floods me as he drops me to the floor and dashed out of sight. Just as I slip away, I notice that he has no reflection in the mirror hanging on the fading wall.
