Chapter 8 - The M3 GTR returns and flashbacks

Sprint Race. "This is it! Take him down and our M3 is ours!" Adena called. "I got this mom. I got this." I answered as I equipped my earbud. "You got this Branden!" Jordan exclaimed. "I'll start the countdown! You guys meet at the Boardwalk in Camden Beach, I'll be there." Ellie said as she ran to the starting line, walked in the center and raises her arms. "Here we go boys! 3, 2, 1, Go!" Ellie exclaimed as she moves her arms down after she puts the countdown and the cars launched and blew past her. "Did you see how fast Branden crossed off the line first?" Letty asked. "That's the kind of speed you need to use Ben!" Gillian answered. "The race car should have the upper hand on the production car. But however, the settings used in the Carrera GT are amazing and they get the upper hand on the M3." Ellie said in her mind as she witnessed the Carrera GT coming off the line first. Camden Beach. Heritage heights. "You're not gonna pass me pretty boy!" Griffin exclaimed as he hogged the inside line. "The outside is where I'll have to attack if I want to win this. But something is wrong, should I do this or not? I guess I have one shot left if I am gonna pull this off." I said in my mind as I turned from the outside lane and attacked. "No!!" Griffin shouted as he let off the accelerator and lost the race. I crossed the line first and everyone cheered for me. "He won, Branden won the race." Ellie said in her mind. "I knew the kid could win it." Letty said in her mind as she walked up to me and gave me a water bottle. I grabbed it, opened it and took a sip. "I couldn't have won the race with this baby. I get my M3 GTR returned in peace." I said in my mind. I walked up to Griffin and requested for the keys. "Sorry dude, you lost. The keys are mine." I said. "You'll never hold on to the Number 1 Spot. Not with me on your tail, and if you want these. You're gonna have to take em." Griffin answered as she showed. "It's over, Griffin." Ellie said as she grabbed the keys. "It ain't over until I say it's over." Griffin replied as he tried to tackle Ellie but then she tackled him to the ground and showed her undercover badge. "Ellie's a cop? I don't get it." I said in my mind. "She's a cop?" Jordan asked as he whispered. "She's trying to protect us so we don't get arrested but she'll let us free." Adena whispered. The crew and I heard helicopters incoming and it's coming from the sky. "Crap, we got company!" I exclaimed. "Go! I'll meet you guys later!" Ellie exclaimed as she threw the keys to me. I ran to my M3 GTR and I got in the car and drove off. Gillian, Jordan, and Adena escaped as well and drove off to different directions. Ellie chose to stay behind but will head to the different city as well after she deals with the cops. Cross and his partner arrived and they got out of the car. "Where's the other guy?" Cross asked. " *sighs* he got away." Ellie answered. "You need to tell me the Most Wanted street racer happened to get away. What about the blacklist?" Cross asked. "Forget the blacklist, they're threw." Ellie answered as she walked back to her RX-8. "I want every single unit after the kid." Nathan requested. "Everyone?" His partner asked. "EVERYONE!" Nathan shouted. His partner went into the police units along with him to take down the Most Wanted racer which is me. Camden beach. "Hey hotshot, hey thanks for helping us out. We've been able to pick up every blacklist racer and thanks to you. Now I'd take that rate if you give yourself up, so what's it gonna be?" Nathan asked as he called me. "Nope, not gonna happen to me." I answered as I hung up and I drove away from the cops. I heard another ring on my earbud and it was Ellie. "Branden, it's Ellie. Look, don't hang up. You can't go back to any of the safehouses. Cross knows about them, head over to the old bridge. Your car is fast enough to make the jump, it's the only way. I'll meet you at the city, I promise. Later." Ellie said as she called and then hung up. "Head for the old bridge? Okay I'll figure it out." I said in my mind as I drove to the destination. Rosewood. "There it is, that's where I need to go!" I exclaimed in my mind as I saw the junction that leads to the old bridge. When I saw it, I pressed all of my nozzle buttons and the car pushed out a lot of boost. The car was going airborne and the cops fell in to the water. The M3 made it to the jump that lead to the different city. Cross stopped his car and I evaded the cops and drove to the city. Lookout Point. 8:45 p.m. "I wonder where this road leads me to." I said in my mind as I saw a sign. "Palmont City?" I wondered in my mind. Flashback. "Start her up." Cordelia said as she walked up to the car and smiled at me. "Don't disappoint." Josh said as he tossed the keys to me and I made a perfect catch which lead me to a Toyota Supra. I nodded at him and got in the car. I met up with Cordelia about the race Josh set up so she gave me a heads up. Karina, Gavin, and Cody were already at the starting line and I arrived in a Nick of Time in the Supra. Cordelia moved her arms down and I moved up to the top which is 2nd place. I shifted the gear down to 2nd drifted the corners without crashing. But then the Charger crashed into the corner. During the straightaway I felt some pressure breathing down on my neck and I shifted up to 5th Gear. "Okay, I get this car now." I said in my mind as we were heading towards the finish and I was in first place. When we crossed the finish line, I witnessed some shocks from behind which was revealed to be a stun rifle. It went for Cody, Gavin and Karina and their cars stopped. I stopped the car and I turned around and saw some cops. I didn't get stunned, the Supra didn't die and I was the only one left. I felt scared and I witnessed the racers trying to escape but instead got arrested. I pulled off some burnouts and I performed some donuts. I stopped the car. Cordelia ran up to me but couldn't make it so she tossed the bag to me and I drove off to an alley but then a white Chrysler 300C reversed then blocked the exit after he lets me escape. When I looked inside the bag, it contained newspapers instead. "You've got to be kidding me. Maybe the bag got switched?" I wondered in my mind. "Look, between the heat and the crews you need to walk away. Take my car, go get out of here!" Josh said as he told me to go. Home. "Mom, we need to get out of here." I said as I came in. "Why do we have to leave?" Adena asked. "One of the crews have hired some agents to track us down and I am not kidding at all." I answered. "Yeah, you have a point." Adena replied. "Come on, get in the car! We're taking it somewhere nice and discreet so it doesn't get stolen. But first we need to get to the destination and ditch it before we head out." I exclaimed as my mom and I got in the car and We drove off from Palmont to Rockport. Present day. "So I remember now, I was born here, then I went to Rockport, Tri City Bay and now I am here to return back to my past. That is where I am born and that is when my mother and I had to move out because of the crews that tried to track us down." I said in my mind as I cruised down the mountain. Then a Corvette was driving fast down the mountain. "Someone's there." I said in my mind as I looked at my rear view mirror when I witnessed some flashing headlights. It was coming up fast to me but then I got bumped from behind causing me to lose control but then I regained it. "Wait, I recognized that car. Crap that's Cross. I need to get away from him fast." I said my mind as shifted down from 3rd to 2nd fear and floored. "Hey, guess who's back." Nathan said as he was chasing me after he bumped me and we drove down the mountain while I tried to escape and then we went down to a construction zone. "Crap, can't see. I need to run quick!" I said in my mind as I am hitting through some poles. Cross stopped his car and then I am heading it a semi truck. I slammed on the brakes and turned around when it touched the truck. "Come on baby!" I said in my mind as I tried to pull out but then Cross got in front of me and stopped me. "Damn it, I'm dead." I said my mind.
