Chapter 19 - A race at Historic Chinatown and canyon duel rematches

Historic Chinatown. 6:55 p.m. "Aren't you Ellie Yajima?" A guy asked. "Yes, who are you?" Ellie asked after she answered. "We are here to challenge you to a sprint race for this turf. Here's the thing, if you win, we'll back off and this turf is yours. But if we win, you leave and that turf is mine." A guy explained. "Sounds like a plan." Ellie replied as she got in her car and drove to the starting line was behind as a couple cars were in front and a few behind were next to her. "On my count! 3, 2, 1, GO!!" The starter exclaimed as the cars launched off fast off the starting line and they drove off a furious speed. At the start, they approached a jumped and headed towards a curve. After the curve, Ellie braked hard on the hard right and gripped the corner. She passed her opponent on the left corner section and she made another pass on the hard bend. The Cayman S backfired and Ellie stepped the accelerator hard. She was in 4th place. They approached a right turn and then a left turn after a small straightaway. "I'm gonna have to make a pass or two on the straightaway after the left turn. That's where I'll make my move and manage to keep up." Ellie said in her mind as she passed her opponents on the straightaway. She was now in second place. Kings Park. "I can hear them coming!" A girl called. "Must be them." The boy replied as he heard the cars coming and the Cayman S was shown behind the Charger SRT8. "It's Ellie! Go Ellie, you got this!" The girl exclaimed. "A shortcut? I'll use it there, it leads to a park but it should lead back to the road!" Ellie said in her mind as she turned left into a shortcut that leads to a park and road. The Cayman S hit the gates and it gripped the curvy corners. "Where did she go?" The guy wondered. "What?! But how?!" The guy exclaimed as he saw Ellie pop out of nowhere but from the shortcut. Kings Park Arboretum. "Hey I wonder who's in the lead?" The stopwatch guy wondered as he saw Ellie attacking the last corner with max speed. "It's the Cayman S! She won the race!" The stopwatch guy exclaimed as he pushed the button and looked at the times of the Cayman S. Ellie drove back to the safehouse after the race. "I wonder where the Cayman S went?" A guy asked. "Maybe she had to go somewhere." The stopwatch guy answered. "We've lost. That turf was ours. Branden, you and your crew are moving up to a higher level now." The guy said in his mind. Safehouse. 7:45 p.m. "Yo Michael!" I called. "What's up Branden?" Michael asked. "Would you like to help me build this Skyline GT-R that I am gonna use as my tier 3 car?" I asked again as I showed him the scrapped R34 I drove back in Bayview. "Sure thing dude. You've got the right man for the right job, give me the parts and I'll grab some guys and you to build it." Michael answered. "Let's get started." I replied as I grabbed my wrench. We pushed the car into the garage. Gillian and Letty grabbed the rims, and tires and they replaced the stock with the new ones. Michael and I equipped the car with Spoiler, a Wide Body Kit, Custom Hood and roof scoop. I peeled off the vinyl from the sticker and carefully attached it to the car. I also switched the window tint. Gillian and Michael customized the interior a bit. Kaylyn carefully equipped the engine onto the car. "Steady, steady, good!" I said as I gave a thumbs up to Kaylyn and she smiled at me. "What do you think Branden?" Michael asked. "It looks awesome. Definitely reminds me of that Skyline I drove back in Bayview." I replied. "I'll let you know on when we can do a little more upgrades." I said as I went back to my room. Wednesday. 8:45 p.m. Journeyman's Bane. "Huh, you look more resilient than you look." Gavin said. "I've come back from worse, so don't be so sure about that." I replied as we got in our cars and we down the hill. "He's fast." I said in my mind as I saw how fast the Lancer Evolution was on the corners. "Crap, I can't catch up to him on the corners. On the series of corners coming up, I'm never gonna catch up to him. I'll have to try to attack the corners faster than how I usually enter it." I said in my mind as I floored it, turned the wheel and exceeded the corner's limit. "Come on GT-R! You can do it for me!" I exclaimed in my mind as I pushed it harder before we approached the hairpin that leads to a straightaway, last hairpin, turn and a long straightaway that leads it to the finish. When the Lan  Evo went outside. I saw the inside with my own two eyes and I gripped the inside of the road with the tire's grip exceeded. The battle was over and I won the race. "No! I lost to the chick's boyfriend! Damn it!" Gavin exclaimed as he punched the steering wheel. I drove back to the safehouse. Desperation Ridge. "We meet again, Letty. This time, I won't be going easy on you." Karina said. "Good, I won't do the same." Letty replied as she got in her Z and both of them started off slow and entered the first corner. After the first corner, they floored it. The Challenger started to slip and fish tail on the 2nd and 3rd corner. "Hmm.. I think this Challenger's not good enough. I am gonna have to attack her somewhere but I'm unsure for now. Maybe on one of the hairpins I'll make my move." Letty said in her mind as she approached the 4th, 5th and 6th corner that leads to the 4 consecutive hairpins. She saw the Challenger slipping to the outside on the 2nd hairpin. "Alright!" Letty exclaimed in her mind as she gripped the car to the inside and passed Karina. "Hmph, I lost. That sucks. I'll get my revenge!" Karina said in her mind. "That race was too easy but that car was too dangerous though." Letty said in her mind as she floored it hard and she pulled away after the 2nd, 3rd, and last hairpin. She floored it fast to the end. The battle was over and the Z won. Safehouse. 10:55 p.m. "Ellie, I want you to have the Supra." I said. "Are you sure you want me to keep the Supra? It's sacred to you, isn't it?" Ellie asked. "It is, but I want you to have it. Whatever we have is sacred, we share it together and I would mostly give the stuff that is sacred to me and you would have it. Like the Supra, I want you to keep it." I answered as I handed the keys to the Supra to Ellie. "Thank you Branden." Ellie replied as she gave a smile to me and gave me a hug. "You're welcome Ellie." I said as I looked at her and hugged her back.
