Chapter 23
***Aliyah's POV***
Ako na lang ang natitira sa office dahil natambakan ako ng reports.
I am no longer taking part of field operations.
Sa tuwing may agent na uuwi na, yumayakap sila sakin kahit na may 29 days pa ko.
I roamed my eyes in this empty office and got reminded of our team.
Ang mga tawanan namin. Mga kalokohan. Mga pagkakaisa at iringan.
Life here is never easy. But it was at least...happy. I smiled sadly.
It has finally sunk in to me that my days in the NBI is now counted.
Ang anim na taon na akala ko ay walang hangan, ngayon ay may taning na.
I looked back and remember how nothing I had before I met Luke and Clyde.
Nangilid ang mga luha ko.
NBI has become my shelter.
And Luke, my strength.
Clyde, my stress reliever.
They opened my heart to love again.
Nagsara man ng puso ko nang mawala sakin si Marcus, tinuruan nila akong buksan yon para sa kapakanan ng marami.
The NBI and its vision for this country filled my heart.
No matter how little good things we do,
they end up building a huge impact, maybe not today but certainly in the future.
Wala na akong pangarap para sa sarili ko noong panahong nawala sakin ang lahat.
All the dreams I started building again was no longer for me but for the better future of the next generation.
Hindi man ako kasama sa mga makakatikim ng mga efforts na ginagawa namin sa NBI and no matter how little we are as agents in the eyes of others,
Not matter how forgotten and never recognized our efforts would be,
I will remain faithful to the dreams Luke, Clyde and I have made with this agency.
Edmund Burke said: "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
EVERYONE can make a difference.

Yung HINDI pagtapon ng kalat sa daan,
Yung pagrespeto sa public properties,
ALL OF IT...
NO MATTER HOW SMALL
THOSE EFFORTS IF CONSISTENTLY DONE AND IS DONE BY EVERY FILIPINOS
CAN MAKE A BETTER PHILIPPINES SOMEDAY.
