Chapter 24

"Indigo!" I'm shocked at his presence. He's sitting at the sofa uneasy. Tila hindi mapakali. Nilingon ako nito at mabilis lumapit sa akin.

"You scared the hell out of me. I thought something bad happen to you!" He hugged me tightly.

"I'm fine, Indigo" I said. He just stared at me and kissed my forehead. Napatigil kami ng marinig ang pagtikhim ni kuya.

I face him and his arching brow welcomes me and he's freaking frowning.

"Is that your boyfriend, darling?" my mother come near us with a smiling face while my K is still standing there. His brows are meeting in the center and his expression screams dim.

"Y-yes, mom," I muttered breathlessly. Kuya Zero staring intently at me.

"'Kay gwapong bata naman pala," sabi ni Mommy .

"Good evening, Madam." Indigo kissed my mom's hand.

"Sus, kaya naman pala nabihag si Zane nito, eh." Mom laughed while Kuya Zero's still staring at us.

Based on his expression I know it already. He doesn't like Indigo. Well, ganyan din naman sya nung nagkaboyfriend ako nung College. He don't like any of my boyfriends. Ngunit iba ngayon ang aura ni Kuya tila hindi niya agad nagustuhan si Indigo.

"Let's have dinner, ikaw, Iho? Dito ka nalang kumain." Mom smiled at him. I smiled too and acknowledge Indigo even though I cant still feel kuya Zero's cold stare.

"Kuya Zero, this is Indigo, my boyfriend," I said to him. I tried so hard not to stutter Kuya Zero's aura is so intimidating.

"Indigo, meet my handsome brother, Kuya Zero," I said smiling. God please, smile, deal with me.

"Good Evening, Zero." He simply said. Nangunot ang aking noo. Kuya Zero smirked at him. Wait? Did they know each other?

"Zane Monica?" Kuya Zero's sarcastic voice filled my ears.

He didn't look at me and he just keep on staring at Indigo.

"You're having a relationship with this man? A pussyhead. He will just hurt you and I mean it. He screwed many women. He's a bastard!" Kuya zero's cold voice brings a shiver in my system.

"Kuya!" I spat at him.

Are they friends? Ngunit wala naman akong nakita noon na magkaibigan sila ni Indigo kahit noong college. Pareho kami ng University na pinasukan ni Kuya. Or it's just that I didn't knew about them?

Naramdaman kong kumuyom ang kamao ni Indigo. I can feel the tension of how they stare at each other.

"Kuya, he loves me... " I said. But he just laugh mockingly. Tila mapanginsultong tawa. I think they knew each other but how? Did something happen?

Now my curiosity starts to eat me and my madness starts its engine. I don't like how kuya Zero's acting now!

"He loves you? Yeah, the devil once believes it too. Oh, fuck this man killed someone because of that I love you, Zane Monica." He said to me. I still analyzing what he said. Tila statwa na pinaliguan ng maraming yelo. Hindi ako makagalaw. What does kuya Zero mean? What the fuck is this? I glanced at Indigo with a confused look.

"I love your sister, Zero... " Indigo muttered holding my hand tightly. Kuya Zero looks at me as he shakes his head as if he doesn't like indigo here with us. There's a disbelief in the way he looks at us.

"What do you mean kuya?" I asked him.

He just smiled at me, a devilish smile.

"Better cut your ties with my sister or you'll meet me in hell, Cantellon." I look at kuya and my furious vein goes faster.

"Kuy---" Indigo cut me.

"I love your sister, I won't do that... "  Indigo told him with a final tone on his voice and grab my hands to the kitchen where my mom enter.

"Oh sit, sit we should eat I'm starving... " My mom's keep on smiling as we eat.

Habang kumakain pumasok si kuya sa hapag-kainan. I bite my lip to prevent myself from talking badly to him. What he did there, I don't like it. How can he say that? I knew Indigo for a long time but he never killed someone. That's a fucking bad joke he did there and indeed a bad one.

While we're eating mom keeps on talking at mainstay sina sali kami ni Indigo and kuya is not in the mood to talk. He's shut the whole time.

"So, Indigo, what do you do for a living?" Mom suddenly asked.

Indigo cleared his throat and wipe his mouth with a table napkin.

"I run the Cantellon Empire, Madam. " He said.

"Cantellon? Oh? Really? That's good I can assure my daughter's future to you... " Mom said.

I blushed. Mom shut up, please.

"That will never gonna happen, Mom." Kuya Zero said.

"Why?" Mom's innocent voice asked kuya.

"They won't last, Their relationship will just lead to breaking up soon... " He simply said.

I clench my teeth. I can feel my heart aching. I want to shout at kuya that it will never gonna happen.

"Zero, honey, shut up. They will last, I can see that they love each other naman. So don't stick your nose to their business." Mom warned Kuya. Kuya just continues eating like he heard nothing. Thanks, mom.

I'm still furious. But I feel Indigo's hands intertwine with mine under the table. I look at him and he smiled at me like he was saying that I shouldn't mind what kuya said. For the first time in my life. I hate my brother this time. Mom is fine with our relationship. Why does kuya be so against it? I should ask Indigo with this one. I should cook him and interrogate him with many questions about kuya and what's he saying.

"Calm down..." I heard him say. He squeeze my hand and smiled at me. He mouthed 'I love you and my madness easily melted.

I just nodded at him and continue eating.

When we finish eating. Mom and Indigo had a little chit-chat. Well, looks like mom is so fond of him now.

"Mom, ihahatid ko lang si Indigo." I said. Mom nodded and smiled at me.

"MOM, NO!" Kuya Zero said but mom arched his brow at him that made him shut.

I hate my brother now.
