Katsuki gripped his mother's clothes and looked up. "Ma, is- is he going to be alright? Please answer me!" Katsuki began to choke on his words as drops of what seems like diamond shards fell from his eyes. The tear mirrored his reflection, like how all of this is all because of him and not anyone else.
"Katsuki?" Mitsuki exclaimed as she knelt down. "Geez, what's wrong with you? Of course Izuku's going to be alright. He's in the hands of medical experts now, let's trust them," she said as she gave a reassuring smile and placed both her hands on top of Katsuki's shoulders.
"T-that isn't why I'm crying!" Katsuki yelled at her. "It's all my fault! If I hadn't... If I hadn't done those things to him! It's all my fault... I did this to him!" he said as his hands formed fists. "I should be the one dying and not him! I- I should just-"
Before Katsuki could finish what he's saying, Inko went closer to him and slapped his cheek. Her face looked like she was in so much pain, hearing a kindergarten student say all those things about death and life. "Shut up!" she yelled back. "Dying won't forgive the mistakes you've done! Live and atone for your sins!"
A moment of silence happened in between their altercation. Katsuki stopped crying, Mitsuki's jaw was dropping, and Inko was looking down on both of them. The world seemed to stop at that second, and they realized that they weren't the only one in the hospital.
"Katsuki, even though you were the one who pushed Izuku to his limits, it's not completely your fault that he did what he did," Inko sighed, taking a seat in one of the chairs. "Both of us are at fault... if I had been a better mother and looked at my child for more than 1 second and ask him if he needs any help, then this situation wouldn't happen. Don't blame yourself for everything, okay? Whatever happens, happens and you can't do anything about it now. What you can do is ask for forgiveness... and you can't do that by dying, understand?"
Katsuki nodded as he bowed his head down. He's starting to calm down but sadly, his mother's just getting started. "Look here young man, I don't know the full situation here but you owe us the truth of the situation. What happened yesterday and the day before that day? How on earth did both of you end up in that kind of messed up situation?"
Katsuki trembled. He didn't want to answer, he doesn't want to accept the fact that he was the one who did this. He doesn't want to think about the consequences of his actions. He want's to be a hero, not a fucking villain who drives people into suicide. But as much as he wants to reject that fact, he can't change what already has been done and so he told both the mothers the truth to the case. "I'm sorry," he mumbled as pebble-shaped tears fell from his eyes. "I'm really sorry!"
The two parents were beyond shocked. They felt displeased and aggrieved by what has happened. Both of them were speechless about it. "What the fuck Katsuki?!" Mitsuki began. "Why the fuck would you do those horrid and despicable things to the poor boy?! Because you're annoyed?! You nearly killed him!"
"I know that!" Katsuki yelled back. "That's why I'm sorry... I didn't know that this would happen! I'm sorry... I'm sorry!" Katsuki's expression was agonizing to look at. His face is a face that shows deep sincerity and regret for his actions. He was pitiful, but what he has done was beyond repair.
"Katsuki," Inko said as she glanced at him, preparing for another scolding. She doesn't know what to say. Should she first start by insulting him? No, Mitsuki already did that, the boy would break if she still continued to. She doesn't know what to say. She has a lot of things in her mind but she doesn't know how to put it in words.
"Katsuki, look," she said after a deep sigh. "Whatever happens to Izuku now is beyond our control. What goes behind that door is something we have no idea about. We don't get to decide if Izuku lives or dies, but whatever the outcome, I want you to be held accountable for it, understand? If he dies, then you're in big trouble. If he lives, you owe him your very life. You are the reason why this event took place, I know you're still a child but sometimes you need to be mature and be held accountable for your actions."
