Chapter 35: Some Family Problems

"I don't mind at all. I figured you would be busy." Her father replied. "Your mom and I saw it on T.V. you were so close! You did a great job out there!"
"I wasn't close and I wasn't great. I panicked when I'm at my final blow. I totally lost."
"Oh? If that were true, then there is always next year, right?"
"It only matters if you win. You need to know the different types of people you battle."
"What's the rush though?"
"I mean, I have to! For you and mom!" Uraraka began to cry.
"Ochaco, you don't need to go crazy on us. You are still our sweet, little, kind, loving, Ochaco after all. Either way, we know that you, my child, would be a great hero someday!" Uraraka cried.

Izuku went to the battle field. On the way, he met Endeavor. "You there, I saw what you did. You forced yourself to vomit out blood. That is some talent you got there. But, you haven't shown your quirk to the public yet. Even I have no idea what it is. In terms of strategy, you might beat my boy. You might win your next round. Shoto will win his next match and will win to you. And, my boy also acted weird when I talked to him about you. When you battle, show us your quirk and challenge my son." Endeavor told him.

"If you think I'm somehow like All Might, that's not true. If you think I'm All Might, then your wrong." Izuku told him. "Well of course not. You are very far from him." The hero replied. "Well, so is Todoroki-kun. He is not you." Izuku looked at him.

"NEXT UP, WE GOT THE HARD ROCK WINNER, EIJIROU KIRISHIMA VERSUS THE GEEK OF CLASS A AND H, IZUKU MIDORIYA!!!" Present Mic announced.

If I were to battle him, he will obviously take the first move by trying to punch me. This will go on for quite some time... both my quirks are no match for his quirk. So, all I have to do is to think... aha! I have the perfect plan... Izuku smiled. "READY? GET SET. GO!" Present Mic yelled.

As Izuku predicted, Kirishima attacked by punching him. Izuku is great at dodging, so he dodged his every attack. "Stop dodging Midoriya!" Kirishima told him. "Well, why would I? It's my key to winning." Izuku replied as he kept dodging.

Then, "KIRISHIMA IS OUT OF THE RING! IZUKU MIDORIYA MOVES TO THE NEXT ROUND!" Present Mic informed them.

"W-what the heck?!" Kirishima was surprised, he accidentaly fell. "You kept on targeting me. You didn't know I was leading you to the bounderies. When you fell, you are already out of the ring so I won. Next time, look at your opponent and your surroundings. This will help you a lot." Izuku smiled as he extended his arm towards Kirishima. They shook hands.

"Wow, Midoriya, your so manly!" Kirishima commented. "I wouldn't win if it wasn't for my pills." Izuku smiled as they went back to their seats.

"NEXT UP, THE ICY HOT OF THE CLASS A, SHOTO TODOROKI VERSUS THE ASSA- THE ANGEL OF CLASS B, IBARA SHIOZAKI!!! READY? SET. GO!" Present Mic yelled.

Shiozaki tried to wrap Todoroki with her vines but Todoroki dodged her every attack. Todoroki wraped her in his ice. "H-humble s-s-student, p-please l-l-let me g-go from t-the s-s-spell that y-you have c-cast o-on me. I-i-i g-give up." She muttered. Todoroki's ice is as cold as ever.

"That was quick. Don't you think?" Uraraka asked Izuku. "I was mistaken for Shiozaki's binding technique. One can simply dodge them if they are quick enough. You can capture her if you manage to immobilize her. Another method is t-" Katsuki hit Izuku. "Stop. Your disturbing me." He said as both Todoroki and Katsuki glared at each other, obviously treating each other as rivals.

Izuku closed his eyes. "Man, I hope next round would have some little action." He sighed.

"NEXT ROUND IS THE EMO OF THEM ALL, FUMIKAGE TOKOYAMI AND THE ICE SKATER THAT USES ACID, MINA ASHIDO!!!" Present Mic announced. "READY? SET. GO!!!"

Ashido skated towards Tokoyami. "Hey! Don't be like Midoriya that dodges all the time!" Ashido pouted.

Tokoyami used his dark shadow to push Ashido off the ring. "And the victory goes to Tokoyami!" Midnight announced.

"NEXT UP IS TENYA IIDA AND KATSUKI BAKUGO! BOTH FROM CLASS A!!!" Present Mic announced. "READY? SET. GO!!!"

Iida rushed towards Katsuki. He tried to push him off the ring. "You know that fucking technique won't fucking work on me." Katsuki grinned as he attacked Iida with his quirk.

Iida went to him again, trying to do the same thing. Katsuki grabbed his arms and threw him off.

"Hah, you loser!" Katsuki smirked. Iida fell. Katsuki kicked Iida off the ring. "Katsuki Bakugo wins!" Midnight announced.

"WE'LL HAVE A SHORT BREAK BEFORE CONTINUING TO THE SEMI-FINALS!!!" Present Mic told them.

Todoroki and Katsuki both went to Izuku. "Deku, congrats on winning. If you won, I'm gonna treat you some katsudon later." Katsuki smirked. "M-midoriya, I come on... I wanted to say good luck. Your gonna be my next match." Todoroki stuttered.

"O-oh, good luck too Todoroki-kun! Besides, you have declared war on me, right?" Izuku smiled.

Todoroki blushed, a little. "N-no p-p-problem." Todoroki said as he went away.

"Huh, that's strange. I never have seen Todoroki-kun stutter and ran. I guess he's just nervous." Izuku closed his eyes.

"Deku..." Katsuki started. "Yes Kacchan?" Izuku asked, still had his eyes closed. "Good luck later. Todoroki's a hard opponent. Don't over do yourself." He reminded him. "Sure. I won't forget. I promise." Izuku smiled.

The short break was over. "NOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... IT'S TIME FOR THE SEMI-FINALS! THE FIRST MATCH WILL BE SHOUTO TODOROKI AND IZUKU MIDORIYA. NEXT UP, KATSUKI BAKUGO AND FUMIKAGE TOKOYAMI!!!" Present Mic informed them.

"Man, I hope this would be good." Sero commented. "Well of course it would be!" Kirishima told him. "They are practically one of the best students! Todoroki got in the recommendations and Midoriya scored top 1 on the entrance exam."

Izuku quickly drank his pills and prepared for Todoroki.

"READY? SET. GO!!" Present Mic signaled.
