Chapter 36: A Pain in the Heart

The whole world, or at least the whole country, watched the 2 rivals. Every eye was looking at them. Both Toshinori and Enji Todoroki watched their successor.

As soon as Present Mic said go, Todoroki tried to freeze Izuku. Izuku thought quickly.

Time to use One for All, 10 percent. He smiled. He can feel his power rushing through his veins. He never told anyone that he can use 10 percent, not even Toshinori or Katsuki.

Izuku snapped his hand at the upcoming ice. It broke easily. A cool breeze filled the whole stadium. First try using 10 percent, it's powerful and my fingers didn't break either. It's strong enough for me to win. Izuku thought.

"So, your trying to stretch the match out? Not gonna happean." Todoroki summoned another ice attack.

Izuku kept destroying them, making him really tired. Todoroki attacked Izuku but this time closer. He used his quirk directly on him.

Izuku almost got caught between Todoroki's ice. He counter-attacked with a 10 percent punch on the air, sending Todoroki beyond the boarders. Todoroki manage to make an ice wall behind him. He almost loss.

Izuku punced the air again but this time, with another percentage he had been practicing... 100 percent. He used his his whole arm to push Todoroki off.

"Man, sorry for all of this Midoriya. Though, I appreciate it. He doesn't look too happy and I'm glad because of that. With both hands destroyed, you can't win this. Let's just finish this, Midoriya." Todoroki told Izuku.

"Who said I'm done?!" Izuku flicked his fingers. A sronger blast had occured. This was more than his 100 percent power. If I could just get him to use his fire side...

"You're shivering, Todoroki. Quirks are still physical activities. Everything has limits, remember that. But then, you could always use your fire side to warm your temperature down. Come on! Everyone's giving it their all and your just going to use half your power?! Come at me with everything you got!!!" Izuku got all eyes and ears on him.

"What are you planning?! Did my fucking father pay you off or what?" Todoroki yelled. Todoroki rushed in anger. Little did they know, this was all Izuku's plan. Izuku punched Todoroki 10 percent to blast him off the ring. Todoroki bounced off before landing on the line.

"It's not only you who got weaker, also your ice!" Izuku told him.

The battle went on. "Midoriya, why?! Why do you keep going?!" Todoroki cried.

"It's because, I need to live up to his expectations... if you became the number 1 pro hero out there, then, I THINK YOU AREN'T EVEN SERIOUS!!! THAT IS WHY I HAVE TO WIN!!" Izuku yelled.

Sparks of memory had appeared inside Todoroki's head. He cried, he remembered his terrible childhood. "I-i'll show my father-"

"IT'S NOT HIS POWER, TODOROKI! IT'S YOURS!!! YOU DECIDED WHO YOU WANT TO BECOME! YOUR NOT HIM AND HE'S NOT YOU!!!" Izuku told him.

Then, fire came. "I thought you wanted to win, so why? Why do you keep inspiring me?!" Todoroki told him. Todoroki used his left side.

"SHOTOO!!!" Endeavor exclaimed. "Finally, you have accepted your powers! Finally, you are able to surpass me! Finally, you can fulfill your duty!!!"

Izuku smiled. "Wow..."

"W-why are you smiling?! You're not in a very good situation... why?" Todoroki asked but recieved no response.

Todoroki put on a fighting stance. Izuku did that too. Both of them, attacked each other.

Walls of cement and Midnight's quirk were no match. Izuku took this opportunity to burn Todoroki using his Fire Control quirk.

Izuku used 100 percent. Todorki used 100 percent. Both are in equal but due to Izuku's health... much worst happened.

Todoroki had his whole shirt roasted. Half of it was no more. He lay on the battle field, half awake.

While Izuku, he was on the edge of the stadium. His clothes were filled with blood. His shirt was blood red. His mouth continued dripping with blood. He coughed, vomitted, and yelled in pain.

He over used himself. He used 2 quirks at the same time, both using great powers. He cried. "AGHHH... IT HURTS!!"

A striking pain came up to his lungs. He started coughing blood, this time it was much more worse. This was the greatest pain he ever recieved and due to extreme heat, his invention over heated.

He lost his vision again. His eyes were leaking with blood. He was crying. Crying with blood and not tears. He cried for help... he remembered his childhood. He remembered when no one can save him. He remembered when no one dared to touch him. He remembered when he was left out...

It hurted. It hurted so bad. He continued crying in the side but nobody dared to come close.

His lungs and heart are severely injured. He breathed but it was hard. Every breath was painful. This is far worse than all his incidents combined. It hurted so much, so much that you wanted to die already.

When the smoke cleared, everyone was shocked to see Izuku covered in blood. He screemed in agony. He cried for help, but nobody came.

Katsuki was crying. He ran to his friend as fast as he can. "HOW DARE YOU!!! HOW DARE YOU HURT HIM!!" He cried.

"YOU DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER THE FACT THAT HE'S BLIND AND SICK!!! HOW COULD YOU TODOROKI!!!" He held his friend tighter.

That is when he noticed, "H-he's n-n-not breathing..." He was shocked. "FUCK ALL OF YOU!!!" He cried.

Katsuki checked his pulse, but he felt nothing. "W-where's s-she?! W-where's R-recovery G-girl?!" Katsuki panicked.

"ANSWER ME YOU ASSHOLES!!!" He yelled. But, nobody came to answer as they were horrified on how he looks like.

"I-I WILL K-K-KILL YOU ALL..." He yelled. "ESPECIALLY YOU... TODOROKI SHOTO..." He glared.

He cried. This went on for 10 minutes and Recovery Girl arrived. Toshinori assisted Katsuki. "It's not your fault young Bakugo." He tried to calm him down but it's no use.

Midnight also tried but Katsuki ended up having a clogged nostril so he couldn't smell anything.

"You will regret not helping him..."
