Hey! Guess who slinked on back to Wattpad and read all my old stuff! Now I'm equipped and ready. Hope these last parts are good enough to make up for the middle school cringe in the beginning.
Warning: This chapter deals with some themes of sexual assault aftermath.
Eren's P.O.V:
"Levi, why do you have hickies all over your neck?!"
My heart had stopped and fallen into my gut. The man in front of my blinked in confusion as he touched his neck. "I have hickies? Oh, of course I do..." Levi responded, looking angry and lost.
With burning eyes, I punched the door frame. It would've hurt if my chest didn't feel so wounded as it did. "You do! And I wasn't the one who gave them to you!" I shouted. The tears were spilling onto my face. "Why do you look so confused, huh?"
Levi's perplexing expression morphed and shifted into hurt. "I went out for a drink last night and... something awful happened. I-"
"Why would you do this to me?" My voice was wavering. "I though I was special to you!"
"Tch." Levi looked irritated and pained. "If you wouldn't interrupt me that would be great."
"I don't want to hear it." I slammed the door and stomped to my room. Mikasa side-stepped out of my way, looking concerned. She followed me like a shadow until I slammed the door in her face as well. After a moment of pulling my hair in anguish I screamed. I screamed, and screamed. I didn't stop until my voice was gone.
"Eren," Mikasa's voice was muffled. "Please talk to me... What happened?"
I silently sobbed into my hands, unwilling to try and explain to her that Levi had gone out and gotten drunk and cheated. Why? It didn't make sense, and it hurt so bad.
"Did Levi hurt you? I'll beat him up for you," Mikasa said as she slowly opened the door. "Would that make you feel better?"
At the sight of my fingers digging into my arms, Mikasa grabbed my wrists and pulled them apart. "You're scaring me, Eren. Please talk to me."
Hovering in the hallway was a familiar face I hadn't seen in a bit. It was Xavier. He looked a bit different, as he had changed his haircut and choice of usual wardrobe. The man noticed my staring and cautiously stepped into my room.
"Hey, buddy? I need to have a chat with you. Man-on-man."
Mikasa looked to Xavier, then to me, and briskly left the room. As she left, she gave me one last worried glance before disappearing. Xavier gently shut the door and sat next to me on the floor.
"What do you want?" I asked with my hoarse voice. Xavier pinched his nose and sighed, looking at me with a gentle but disappointed face.
"I had a little chat with Levi. You really hurt him, y'know? He had something really important to tell you, but you cut him off before he could get to it."
I clenched my hands into fists, enraged for a second, before tiredly letting them fall weakly by my legs. "What was he going to say that was so important... that he found someone better? He could've told me that before doing stuff with them..."
Xavier aggressively shifted so he was facing me and grabbed my shoulders. "Eren! Stop jumping to conclusions! You need to stop making up sob stories in your head and listen to the man who loves you! You know him better than I do, and yet I know that Levi would never, ever find someone that could top you. Stop being such an idiot!"
My eyes were wide and the wind was knocked out of me by Xavier's tone. His eyebrows were furrowed in anger, and his voice wavered.
"I-"
