Later that day. Regina had gone home feeling like everything that has happened she saw coming. Emma put Alex to bed while ruby was downstairs. Ruby's ex boyfriend had her kids over the weekend this week. Emma went downstairs and smiled at her best friend.
"He sleeps well which is good" she comments as she sat down.
"Yeah. Both mine hated going to sleep" ruby laughed.
Emma relaxed down on the sofa and turned her tv over to Netflix. She flicked through until she found how I met your mother. The girls looked at each other and nod. Emma put it on and placed he remote on the coffee table.
"I don't know what to do about Regina" Emma sighed as she sat back.
"Why are you still bothering with her? Emma if you loved her you would have done something when she was here. I think you should just move on to someone you know likes you for who you are" ruby says as she looked across to her best friend.
"Like who rubs" Emma sighed.
Ruby leaned forward and pecked Emma on the lips. This surprised the blonde. She honestly didn't want to be alone anymore. She wanted a way to move on from Regina and find a true love. She leaned back in and kissed ruby. They both deepened it as ruby moved closer.
Meanwhile Regina was at a coffee shop. She was just sat there drinking her coffee and thinking about Emma. Randomly a girl sat down. It was the waitress. She was tall with long light brown hair. She was very pretty.
"Hi" Regina says confused.
"What's wrong? I've seen you in here before. You always look happy and are with someone" the girl asked with a sweet smile on her face.
"A lot of things actually. It's a long story" Regina shrugged with a slight smile he girl cares.
"I got time. Talk to me. I see you all the time with that beautiful smile. Doesn't look right when your sad" the girl says softly.
"Alright. I recently came out to my homophobic mother I'm a lesbian and told her about my affair with the use to love. I'm getting a divorce with my cover up husband who I caught slap one of my daughters. The woman I mentioned is with someone else and I don't know... I just feel alone I guess" Regina admits staring into her bottomless coffee.
"Don't let yourself feel lonely because your not dating someone. When I broke up with my ex girlfriend I felt alone but then I realised she just made me hide and like I'm not worth anything. A beautiful girl like you shouldn't ever be alone let alone feel it" the girl says smiling the whole way.
"Your so sweet. I'm Regina"
"Penny. It's nice to finally talk to you"
"And you. Can I buy you a coffee or do you have to work" Regina asked with a sweet smile.
"I could do with a coffee. Only if this means I can get to know you" penny smiled.
"Deal"
Regina liked this girl. She cheered her up. It was time she pushed her feelings for Emma back and let someone else have a turn.
Emma was sat making out with ruby. Regina was on a date kinda thing with penny. They both started the process of moving on but one thing was stopping them. They couldn't get the other out of there head. Through out Emma's kiss she just thought about Regina. How no one could kiss like her. Regina still had Emma in her head but tried her hardest to focus on penny. They both sat and thought to themselves... why can't I forget her?
