....

With their rather secretive relationship budding, Louis had found ways to tease his new partner until they had a moment alone together.

Whether it be a wink in between words or the nudge of his boot along hers across the dinner table. Which he found to be the best way to get her riled up.

It drove her wild.

Clementine sat trying to enjoy the rabbit stew after a long day of reestablishing the greenhouse.

To say she was exhausted was an understatement—though she couldn't focus on the taste when her mind kept trailing to the boy across the table.

Who listens to Marlon's talking, whilst running his foot along the length of her calf. Slow, making her heartbeat rise.

His eyes lowly flicker to her, watching with a slight smirk when she wrinkled her nose at him.

'Stop it,' she mouths when no one was looking, he raises a brow and heightens his boot along her leg purposely. Making her skin crawl.

In frustration she kicks at him and he bites back a laugh. He clears his throat when Marlon pauses to glance at him through his blonde lashes.

"You alright man?" The blonde asks, raising a brow.

"Stew could be a bit better," he shrugs, taking a bite.

"But I can't complain,"

"You shouldn't be," Clementine cuts in, behind her glare was want. He could pick up on it when she lowers her hush voice—"It's the only food we have,"

"Good point," Louis twists his mouth to the side, sitting back in his seat.

"Maybe I'm just a picky eater,"

Clementine laughs under her breath, feeling her cheeks heat up for no apparent reason. "If it's so bad maybe you should give it to Rosie,"

Marlon cuts in, destroying any tension between the two lovers—Louis scoffs. "Hey, like Clem said," the freckled boy begins, flashing her a glance. "It's the only food we've got."

...

Louis scanned his bookshelf, bored with the sudden downtime after dinner. He was waiting for Clementine, who was busy putting AJ to sleep—The dread head smirks at the idea of the honey eyed girl.

A certain feeling of excitement came over him when he thought of spending another night with her. It soon became the highlight of his days now.

The promise of her late company kept him on his toes.

There was a tap at the old door, signaling her arrival. She peaks in quietly, her pretty eyes finding his as he turns over his shoulder. Lips curling into a wide grin.

"You're late," he meets her halfway between the piano and the lazy couch—Their lips meeting before their bodies could embrace.

"I'm sorry," she says against his mouth. Squealing lightly as he tickles his hands over her sides, she weakens in his arms, making him chuckle.
