A/N: The description has a bit of a look into next part. I wanted to add the drama here, but that would have taken away from the serene feeling this part gave. Enjoy! ✨

It'd been almost two months since their wedding night.

And Clementine kept what happened between her and Gabe a secret.

Often thinking about it in the peak of the night still, when she couldn't sleep—she wondered what had happened between Sophie and Louis. She couldn't stop imagining the torturous scene of the two years back, basking in the sunlight as his arms wrap around her, kissing her temple; laughing at how her ginger ringlets tickled his skin. And how he'd crackle in a laugh—somewhere in Clementine's mind, she could hear the sound; stolen from a memory between him and her.

It was ridiculous. Ridiculous that she even worried about it at all, Sophie wasn't his wife; she wasn't here, laying beside him in bed—she didn't get the chance to watch him sleep, and smile when he'd randomly wake up and kiss her.

She didn't share the love he and Clementine shared.

There was a movement beside her in bed, making her tired eyes blink against the moonlight she'd been unconsciously glancing at through the lacy curtains of their window by the empty dresser.

"You're still awake?" Louis murmurs, his voice was lost in his sudden wake. He rolls onto his back, practically taking up the bed—he yawns loudly, the sound cracking the frown on her face.

"I think the baby's moving," Clementine says. Feeling the springs deepen as Louis sits up against the headboard—"I keep feeling little butterflies, Kate told me that it could be the baby moving around—it woke me up," she says truthfully. She stares up at the boy beside her that wore a sleepy grin.

"She gives you butterflies huh?" Louis asks softly, his voice as low as the candle's cracking beside him. His lip twitches in a smirk. "Does it feel like this?" he asks with a curious glance, reaching to lift the blanket they shared; exposing her upper half, wrapped in a thin brown sweater.

Louis gently runs his fingers over her stomach before tapping her like the ivories of a piano; as soft as the pattering of a butterfly. The feeling rouses a laugh from his lover, a resemblance to a giggle—it causes his own. So he does it again.

"Yes," she says still laughing, her eyes soft. "I think she likes when you do that," she kept feeling the faint tickling; just like a swarm of butterflies, turning into a rumble of bees at her father's touch.

Louis then feels the now prominent bump, he felt nothing, aside from the syncing of Clementine's breathing. He looks down at her, smiling. "Trust me," she says. "You'll feel her move soon,"

"You're calling Marshmallow a 'her'," he remarks with a head swivel, brows low—he solemnly raises his head. "Told you,"

"We still don't know," Clementine reminds him, the sleep in his voice disappears into his usual smooth tone. "I think 'she' just sounds better,"

"I think Clementine Louis Junior would be a great name," Louis says switching topics, sliding back into bed again. His external warmth heated her, making her relax further into the plush bed. Their hands intertwine on her chest. She glances at his face beside her, trying to find play in them.

"Not happening," she dismisses with a nose wrinkle.

"Fine, Louis Clementine Junior?" he suggests, brushing his nose against hers; the rumble of his voice quickened her heart; and the tiny butterfly kicks of his child. This one being rather hard.
