"You're going to make me late, Louis,"

Clementine grumbles, swinging the door open to the lazy form on the bed, there was a loud incoherent swear that slipped from under the covers.

"Just a little longer..?" He pleads, rolling onto his back. His dreads randomly dressing his face, bare chest rising once in a long breath.

"Do you know what today is?" Clementine shuffles to the end of the bed, yanking the blue sheets from his clad form. Only then, giving him her angered eyes. His head goes up, glaring down at her.

"Mmh," he hums thinking, blinking groggily. "Thursday?"

Clementine places a hand on her hip, moving her head to the side. "And?"

Louis darts up, wide eyed. Looking a complete mess. Attractive but a mess nonetheless.

"We need to go," he says, before getting out of bed and reaching for his clothes that were strewn along the floor from their previous night.

"Is Clem gonna be okay?" AJ asks looking up at the freckled boy who sighs. Answering again.

"Of course little man, besides, it's a surprise," Louis shrugs as they walk down the road to the hospital; passing short crowds of people and animals. Clementine was ahead of them.

"You keep saying that.." AJ pouts. "What's gonna happen when Clem goes in...in the hos..."

"Hospital?" Louis raises a brow, making AJ puff his cheeks out.

"Yeah," the boy nods. Arms flailing slightly as he kicks a pebble from the graveled road. "What's gonna happen?"

"It's a surprise, AJ.." Louis forces a smile.

The hospital was average in size. A lot smaller than what Clementine expected—she passed a couple women at the entrance sharing a cigarette. Presumably nurses by the almost matching ensemble of colors.

The glass doors open. And her heart goes racing as she reads the sign above guiding her to the maternity unit. She went onward, faster than Louis or AJ; taking a quick right down a blue hall.

It was a long narrow hall, lit up in finger paintings and seemingly ancient inspirational posters—AJ began immediately noticing the pictures of children, tugging onto Louis excitedly.

She trails her fingers over the worn walls. Looking up and seeing the cut out butterflies strung randomly from the cracked lit ceiling—oddly enough this reminded her when she was young. Having those doctor's visits.

She never imagined she'd ever feel that again—the anxiousness that came along when you walked down the hall to a doctor's office.

But here she was.

Her name was called. Awkward exchanging, before being led further down the hall, passing a waiting room. Which was surprisingly scarce in number of civilians.
